Penalties of Disobedience

¹⁴ ‘^(A)But if you do not obey Me and do not carry out all these commandments,

⁶ “^(A)But if you or your sons indeed turn away from following Me, and do not keep My commandments and My statutes which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them,

²⁷ But ^(A)if you do not listen to Me to keep the sabbath day holy by not carrying a load and coming in through the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day, then ^(B)I will kindle a fire in its gates and it will ^(C)devour the palaces of Jerusalem and ^(D)not be quenched.”’”

^5 (A)But if you will not obey these words, I ^(B)swear by Myself,” declares the Lord, “that this house will become a desolation.”’”
