^13 (A)I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt so that you would not be their slaves, and ^(B)I broke your yoke and made you walk erect.

²⁷ So it will be on that day, that ^[a]his ^(A)burden will be removed from your shoulders, and his yoke from your neck; and the yoke will be broken because ^(B)of fatness.

² this is what the Lord has said to me: “Make for yourself ^(A)restraints and ^(B)yokes and put them on your neck,

¹⁰ Then Hananiah the prophet took the ^(A)yoke from the neck of Jeremiah the prophet and broke it.

¹³ “Go and speak to Hananiah, saying, ‘This is what the Lord says: “You have broken the yokes of wood, but in their place you have made ^(A)yokes of iron.”

⁸ ‘It shall come about on that day,’ declares the Lord of armies, ‘that I will ^(A)break his yoke from ^[a]their necks and will tear to pieces ^[b]their ^(B)restraints; and strangers will no longer ^(C)make ^[c]them their slaves.

²⁷ Also the tree of the field will yield its fruit and the earth will yield its produce, and they will be ^(A)secure on their land. Then they will know that I am the Lord, when I have ^(B)broken the bars of their yoke and have saved them from the hand of those who enslaved them.
