¹⁶ Moreover, the one who ^(A)blasphemes the name of the Lord must be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him. The stranger as well as the native, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.

⁶³ But ^(A)Jesus kept silent. ^(B)And the high priest said to Him, “I ^(C)place You under oath by ^(D)the living God, to tell us whether You are the ^[a]Christ, ^(E)the Son of God.” ⁶⁴ Jesus *said to him, “^(F)You have said it yourself. But I tell you, from now on you will see ^(G)the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of power, and ^(H)coming on the clouds of heaven.”

⁶⁵ Then the high priest ^(I)tore his ^[b]robes and said, “He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? See, you have now heard the blasphemy; ⁶⁶ what do you think?” They answered, “^(J)He deserves death!”
