31 You shall not do any work. It is to be a permanent statute throughout your generations in all your dwelling places. 32 It is to be a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you shall humble [a]yourselves; on the ninth of the month at evening, from evening until evening, you shall keep your Sabbath.”
33 Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,

31 You shall do no work at all. This is to be a lasting ordinance(A) for the generations to come, wherever you live. 32 It is a day of sabbath rest(B) for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to observe your sabbath.”(C)
