4 But he is not to defile himself—a husband among his people—and so profane himself.
5 “Kohanim are not to shave their heads, nor shave off the corners of their beards, nor make any cuttings in their flesh. 6 They are to be holy to their God, and not profane the Name of their God, for they present the offerings of Adonai made by fire, the bread of their God. Therefore they are to be holy.

New International Version
4 He must not make himself unclean for people related to him by marriage,[a] and so defile himself.
5 “‘Priests must not shave(A) their heads or shave off the edges of their beards(B) or cut their bodies.(C) 6 They must be holy to their God(D) and must not profane the name of their God.(E) Because they present the food offerings to the Lord,(F) the food of their God,(G) they are to be holy.(H)
