⁹ ‘For ^(A)everyone who curses his father or his mother shall surely be put to death. He has cursed his father or his mother. ^(B)His blood shall be upon him.

¹¹ The man who lies with his ^(A)father’s wife has uncovered his father’s nakedness; both of them shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.

¹² If a man lies with his ^(A)daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death. They have committed perversion. Their blood shall be upon them.

¹⁶ So David said to him, ^(A)“Your blood is on your own head, for ^(B)your own mouth has testified against you, saying, ‘I have killed the Lord’s anointed.’ ”

³³ Their blood shall therefore return upon the head of Joab and ^(A)upon the head of his descendants forever. ^(B)But upon David and his descendants, upon his house and his throne, there shall be peace forever from the Lord.”
