Leviticus 19:16-17

¹⁶^(A)You shall not go around as a slanderer among your people, and you shall not ^(B)stand up against the life^[a] of your neighbor: I am the Lord.

¹⁷^(C)“You shall not hate your brother in your heart, but ^(D)you shall reason frankly with your neighbor, lest you ^(E)incur sin because of him.

“‘Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor’s life.^(B) I am the Lord.

¹⁷“‘Do not hate a fellow Israelite in your heart.^(C) Rebuke your neighbor frankly^(D) so you will not share in their guilt.
