25 So[a] the land became unclean, and I have brought the punishment of[b] its guilt upon it, and the land has vomited out its inhabitants. 26 But[c] you (neither the native nor[d] the alien who is dwelling in your midst) shall keep my statutes and my regulations, and you shall not practice[e] any of these detestable things 27 (because the people of the land, who were before you,[f] did all these detestable things, so the land became unclean),

New International Version
25 Even the land was defiled;(A) so I punished it for its sin,(B) and the land vomited out its inhabitants.(C) 26 But you must keep my decrees and my laws.(D) The native-born and the foreigners residing among you must not do any of these detestable things, 27 for all these things were done by the people who lived in the land before you, and the land became defiled.
