^5 [a]The reason is so that the sons of Israel may bring their sacrifices which they were sacrificing in the open field, that they may bring them in to Yahweh, at the doorway of the tent of meeting to the priest, and sacrifice them as sacrifices of peace offerings to Yahweh.

⁸⁸ and all the oxen for the sacrifice of peace offerings 24 bulls, all the rams 60, the male goats 60, the male lambs one year old 60. ^(A)This was the dedication offering for the altar after it was anointed.

⁸ And ^(A)you shall go down before me to Gilgal; and behold, I will come down to you to offer burnt offerings and ^(B)sacrifice peace offerings. ^(C)You shall wait seven days until I come to you and make you know what you should do.”

¹⁷ And they brought in the ark of Yahweh and placed it ^(A)in its place inside the tent which David had pitched for it; and ^(B)David offered burnt offerings and peace offerings before Yahweh.

¹⁵ Then ^(A)Solomon awoke, and behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem and stood before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and offered burnt offerings and made peace offerings, and ^(B)made a feast for all his servants.

⁶³ And Solomon offered for the sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered to Yahweh, 22,000 oxen and 120,000 sheep. ^(A)So the king and all the sons of Israel dedicated the house of Yahweh. ⁶⁴ On the same day the king set apart as holy the middle of the court that was before the house of Yahweh, because there he ^[a]offered the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat of the peace offerings; for ^(B)the bronze altar that was before Yahweh was too small to hold the burnt offering and the grain offering and the fat of the peace offerings.

A Tent for the Ark

16 And they brought in the ark of God and ^(A)placed it inside the tent which David had pitched for it, and they brought burnt offerings and peace offerings near before God.
