13 and he shall put the incense on the fire before[a] Yahweh so that the cloud of incense might cover the atonement cover, which is on the covenant text,[b] so that he might not die. 14 And he shall take some of[c] the bull’s blood, and he shall spatter it[d] with his finger on the atonement cover’s surface on the eastern side, and before[e] the atonement cover he shall spatter some of[f] the blood with his finger seven times.

15 “And he shall slaughter the sin offering’s goat, which is for the people, and he shall bring its blood from behind[g] the curtain, and he shall do with its blood as that which he did with[h] the bull’s blood, and he shall spatter it on the atonement cover and before[i] the atonement cover.

13 He is to put the incense on the fire before the Lord, and the smoke of the incense will conceal the atonement cover(A) above the tablets of the covenant law, so that he will not die.(B) 14 He is to take some of the bull’s blood(C) and with his finger sprinkle it on the front of the atonement cover; then he shall sprinkle some of it with his finger seven times before the atonement cover.(D)

15 “He shall then slaughter the goat for the sin offering for the people(E) and take its blood behind the curtain(F) and do with it as he did with the bull’s blood: He shall sprinkle(G) it on the atonement cover and in front of it.
