⁸ “The person to be cleansed must wash their clothes,^(A) shave off all their hair and bathe with water;^(B) then they will be ceremonially clean.^(C) After this they may come into the camp,^(D) but they must stay outside their tent for seven days.

⁵ Anyone who touches his bed must wash their clothes^(A) and bathe with water,^(B) and they will be unclean till evening.^(C)

¹⁰ The man who gathers up^(A) the ashes of the heifer must also wash his clothes, and he too will be unclean till evening.^(B) This will be a lasting ordinance^(C) both for the Israelites and for the foreigners residing among them.^(D)

²¹ This is a lasting ordinance^(A) for them.

“The man who sprinkles the water of cleansing must also wash his clothes, and anyone who touches the water of cleansing will be unclean till evening.

²² Anything that an unclean^(A) person touches becomes unclean, and anyone who touches it becomes unclean till evening.”

²⁴ On the seventh day wash your clothes and you will be clean.^(A) Then you may come into the camp.^(B)”

Cleansing From Sin

13 “On that day a fountain^(A) will be opened to the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to cleanse^(B) them from sin and impurity.

¹⁰ They are only a matter of food^(A) and drink^(B) and various ceremonial washings^(C)—external regulations^(D) applying until the time of the new order.

²² let us draw near to God^(A) with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings,^(B) having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience^(C) and having our bodies washed with pure water.^(D)
