^17 (A)“Why have you not eaten the sin offering in the place of the sanctuary, since ^(B)it is a thing most holy and has been given to you that you may bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before the Lord?

Duties of Priests and Levites

18 So the Lord said to Aaron, “You and your sons and your father's house with you shall ^(A)bear iniquity connected with the sanctuary, ^(B)and you and your sons with you shall bear iniquity connected with your priesthood.

⁴ “Then lie on your left side, and place the punishment^[a] of the house of Israel upon it. For the number of the days that you lie on it, ^(A)you shall bear their punishment. ⁵ For I assign to you a number of days, ^(B)390 days, ^(C)equal to the number of the years of their punishment. ^(D)So long shall you bear ^(E)the punishment of the house of Israel. ⁶ And when you have completed these, you shall lie down a second time, but on your right side, and ^(F)bear ^(G)the punishment of the house of Judah. ^(H)Forty days I assign you, a day for each year.

Behold, the Lamb of God

²⁹ The next day he saw Jesus coming towards him, and said, “Behold, ^(A)the Lamb of God, who ^(B)takes away the sin ^(C)of the world!
