Il sacerdozio e i sacrifici
A. L'olocausto
6 Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè: 2 «Dà quest'ordine ad Aronne e ai suoi figli: Questa è la legge per l'olocausto. L'olocausto rimarrà acceso sul braciere sopra l'altare tutta la notte, fino al mattino; il fuoco dell'altare sarà tenuto acceso. 3 Il sacerdote, indossata la tunica di lino e vestiti i calzoni di lino, toglierà la cenere, in cui il fuoco avrà ridotto l'olocausto sull'altare, e la deporrà al fianco dell'altare. 4 Poi, spogliatosi delle vesti e indossatene altre, porterà la cenere fuori del campo, in un luogo mondo. 5 Il fuoco sarà tenuto acceso sull'altare e non si lascerà spegnere; il sacerdote vi brucerà legna ogni mattina, vi disporrà sopra l'olocausto e vi brucerà sopra il grasso dei sacrifici. 6 Il fuoco dev'esser sempre tenuto acceso sull'altare, senza lasciarlo spegnere.
B. L'offerta
7 Questa è la legge dell'oblazione. I figli di Aronne la offriranno al Signore, dinanzi all'altare. 8 Il sacerdote preleverà una manciata di fior di farina con il suo olio e con tutto l'incenso che è sopra l'offerta e brucerà ogni cosa sull'altare con soave profumo in ricordo del Signore. 9 Aronne e i suoi figli mangeranno quel che rimarrà dell'oblazione; lo si mangerà senza lievito, in luogo santo, nel recinto della tenda del convegno. 10 Non si cuocerà con lievito; è la parte che ho loro assegnata delle offerte a me bruciate con il fuoco. E' cosa santissima come il sacrificio espiatorio. 11 Ogni maschio tra i figli di Aronne potrà mangiarne. E' un diritto perenne delle vostre generazioni sui sacrifici consumati dal fuoco in onore del Signore. Tutto ciò che verrà a contatto con queste cose sarà sacro».
12 Il Signore aggiunse a Mosè: 13 «L'offerta che Aronne e i suoi figli faranno al Signore il giorno in cui riceveranno l'unzione è questa: un decimo di efa di fior di farina, come oblazione perpetua, metà la mattina e metà la sera. 14 Essa sarà preparata con olio, nella teglia: la presenterai in una misura stemperata; l'offrirai in pezzi, come profumo soave per il Signore. 15 Anche il sacerdote che, tra i figli di Aronne, sarà unto per succedergli, farà questa offerta; è una prescrizione perenne: sarà bruciata tutta in onore del Signore. 16 Ogni oblazione del sacerdote sarà bruciata tutta; non se ne potrà mangiare».
C. Il sacrificio per il peccato
17 Il Signore disse ancora a Mosè: 18 «Parla ad Aronne e ai suoi figli e dì loro: Questa è la legge del sacrificio espiatorio. Nel luogo dove si immola l'olocausto sarà immolata davanti al Signore la vittima per il peccato. E' cosa santissima. 19 La mangerà il sacerdote che l'offrirà per il peccato; dovrà mangiarla in luogo santo, nel recinto della tenda del convegno. 20 Qualunque cosa ne toccherà le carni sarà sacra; se parte del suo sangue schizza sopra una veste, il posto dove sarà schizzato il sangue lo laverai in luogo santo. 21 Ma il vaso di terra, che sarà servito a cuocerla, sarà spezzato; che se è stata cotta in un vaso di rame, questo sarà strofinato bene e sciacquato con acqua. 22 Ogni maschio di famiglia sacerdotale ne potrà mangiare; è cosa santissima. 23 Ma non si potrà mangiare alcuna vittima espiatoria, il cui sangue va portato nella tenda del convegno, per il rito espiatorio nel santuario. Essa sarà bruciata nel fuoco.

Instructions aux prêtres sur les sacrifices
6 L'Eternel dit à Moïse: 2 «Donne cet ordre à Aaron et à ses descendants: Voici la loi de l'holocauste. L'holocauste restera sur le foyer de l'autel toute la nuit jusqu'au matin et le feu brûlera sur l'autel. 3 Le prêtre mettra sa tunique de lin et mettra des caleçons sur son corps, il enlèvera la cendre faite par le feu qui aura brûlé l'holocauste sur l'autel et il la déposera près de l'autel. 4 Puis il quittera ses vêtements et en mettra d'autres pour porter la cendre à l’extérieur du camp, dans un endroit pur. 5 Le feu brûlera sur l'autel, il ne s'éteindra pas. Chaque matin, le prêtre y allumera du bois, arrangera l'holocauste et brûlera la graisse des sacrifices de communion. 6 Le feu brûlera constamment sur l'autel, il ne s'éteindra pas.
7 »Voici la loi de l'offrande. Les descendants d'Aaron la présenteront devant l'Eternel, devant l'autel. 8 Le prêtre prélèvera une poignée de la fleur de farine et de l'huile avec tout l'encens ajouté à l'offrande et il brûlera cela sur l'autel comme souvenir dont l’odeur est agréable à l'Eternel. 9 Aaron et ses descendants mangeront ce qui restera de l'offrande; ils le mangeront sans levain, dans un lieu saint, dans le parvis de la tente de la rencontre. 10 On ne le cuira pas avec du levain. C'est la part que je leur ai donnée de mes offrandes passées par le feu. C'est une chose très sainte, tout comme le sacrifice d'expiation et le sacrifice de culpabilité. 11 Tout homme parmi les descendants d'Aaron en mangera. C'est une prescription perpétuelle pour vous au fil des générations, au sujet des offrandes passées par le feu pour l'Eternel: tous ceux qui y toucheront seront saints.»
12 L'Eternel dit à Moïse: 13 «Voici l'offrande qu'Aaron et ses fils feront à l'Eternel, le jour où ils recevront l'onction: 2 litres de fleur de farine comme offrande perpétuelle, moitié le matin et moitié le soir. 14 On la préparera à la poêle avec de l'huile et tu l'apporteras frite. Tu la présenteras aussi cuite et en morceaux comme une offrande dont l’odeur est agréable à l'Eternel. 15 Le prêtre issu d’Aaron qui sera consacré par onction pour lui succéder fera aussi cette offrande. C'est une prescription perpétuelle devant l'Eternel: on la brûlera en entier. 16 Toute offrande d'un prêtre sera brûlée en entier; on ne la mangera pas.»
17 L'Eternel dit à Moïse: 18 «Transmets ces instructions à Aaron et à ses descendants: Voici la loi du sacrifice d'expiation. C'est à l’endroit où l'on égorge l'holocauste que sera égorgée devant l'Eternel la victime pour le sacrifice d'expiation. C'est une chose très sainte. 19 Le prêtre qui offrira la victime expiatoire la mangera. Elle sera mangée dans un lieu saint, dans le parvis de la tente de la rencontre. 20 Tous ceux qui en toucheront la viande seront saints. S'il en rejaillit du sang sur un vêtement, la place sur laquelle il aura rejailli sera lavée dans un lieu saint. 21 Le vase de terre dans lequel elle aura cuit sera brisé; si c'est dans un vase en bronze qu'elle a cuit, il sera nettoyé et lavé dans l'eau. 22 Tout homme parmi les prêtres en mangera. C'est une chose très sainte. 23 Mais on ne mangera aucune victime dont le sang aura été apporté dans la tente de la rencontre pour faire l'expiation dans le sanctuaire: elle sera brûlée au feu.

6 [a]The Lord said to Moses: 2 “If anyone sins and is unfaithful to the Lord(A) by deceiving a neighbor(B) about something entrusted to them or left in their care(C) or about something stolen, or if they cheat(D) their neighbor, 3 or if they find lost property and lie about it,(E) or if they swear falsely(F) about any such sin that people may commit— 4 when they sin in any of these ways and realize their guilt, they must return(G) what they have stolen or taken by extortion, or what was entrusted to them, or the lost property they found, 5 or whatever it was they swore falsely about. They must make restitution(H) in full, add a fifth of the value to it and give it all to the owner on the day they present their guilt offering.(I) 6 And as a penalty they must bring to the priest, that is, to the Lord, their guilt offering,(J) a ram from the flock, one without defect and of the proper value.(K) 7 In this way the priest will make atonement(L) for them before the Lord, and they will be forgiven for any of the things they did that made them guilty.”
The Burnt Offering
8 The Lord said to Moses: 9 “Give Aaron and his sons this command: ‘These are the regulations for the burnt offering(M): The burnt offering is to remain on the altar hearth throughout the night, till morning, and the fire must be kept burning on the altar.(N) 10 The priest shall then put on his linen clothes,(O) with linen undergarments next to his body,(P) and shall remove the ashes(Q) of the burnt offering that the fire has consumed on the altar and place them beside the altar. 11 Then he is to take off these clothes and put on others, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a place that is ceremonially clean.(R) 12 The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood(S) and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat(T) of the fellowship offerings(U) on it. 13 The fire must be kept burning on the altar continuously; it must not go out.
The Grain Offering
14 “‘These are the regulations for the grain offering:(V) Aaron’s sons are to bring it before the Lord, in front of the altar. 15 The priest is to take a handful of the finest flour and some olive oil, together with all the incense(W) on the grain offering,(X) and burn the memorial[b] portion(Y) on the altar as an aroma pleasing to the Lord. 16 Aaron and his sons(Z) shall eat the rest(AA) of it, but it is to be eaten without yeast(AB) in the sanctuary area;(AC) they are to eat it in the courtyard(AD) of the tent of meeting.(AE) 17 It must not be baked with yeast; I have given it as their share(AF) of the food offerings presented to me.(AG) Like the sin offering[c] and the guilt offering, it is most holy.(AH) 18 Any male descendant of Aaron may eat it.(AI) For all generations to come(AJ) it is his perpetual share(AK) of the food offerings presented to the Lord. Whatever touches them will become holy.[d](AL)’”
19 The Lord also said to Moses, 20 “This is the offering Aaron and his sons are to bring to the Lord on the day he[e] is anointed:(AM) a tenth of an ephah[f](AN) of the finest flour(AO) as a regular grain offering,(AP) half of it in the morning and half in the evening. 21 It must be prepared with oil on a griddle;(AQ) bring it well-mixed and present the grain offering broken[g] in pieces as an aroma pleasing to the Lord. 22 The son who is to succeed him as anointed priest(AR) shall prepare it. It is the Lord’s perpetual share and is to be burned completely.(AS) 23 Every grain offering of a priest shall be burned completely; it must not be eaten.”
The Sin Offering
24 The Lord said to Moses, 25 “Say to Aaron and his sons: ‘These are the regulations for the sin offering:(AT) The sin offering is to be slaughtered before the Lord(AU) in the place(AV) the burnt offering is slaughtered; it is most holy. 26 The priest who offers it shall eat it; it is to be eaten in the sanctuary area,(AW) in the courtyard(AX) of the tent of meeting.(AY) 27 Whatever touches any of the flesh will become holy,(AZ) and if any of the blood is spattered on a garment, you must wash it in the sanctuary area. 28 The clay pot(BA) the meat is cooked in must be broken; but if it is cooked in a bronze pot, the pot is to be scoured and rinsed with water. 29 Any male in a priest’s family may eat it;(BB) it is most holy.(BC) 30 But any sin offering whose blood is brought into the tent of meeting to make atonement(BD) in the Holy Place(BE) must not be eaten; it must be burned up.(BF)
