Ang Taon ng Pamamahinga(A)
25 Sinabi(B) pa ni Yahweh kay Moises nang sila'y nasa Bundok ng Sinai, 2 “Sabihin mo sa mga Israelita na pagpasok nila sa lupaing ibinigay ko sa inyo, pati ang lupain ay pagpapahingahin tuwing ikapitong taon upang parangalan si Yahweh. 3 Anim na taon ninyong tatamnan ang inyong bukirin at aalagaan ang mga ubasan. 4 Ang ikapitong taon ay taon ng lubos na pamamahinga ng lupain, isang taóng nakatalaga para kay Yahweh. Huwag ninyong tatamnan sa taóng iyon ang inyong bukirin 5 at huwag pipitasan ang mga punong ubas na hindi naalagaan. 6 Ang lahat ng maaani roon ay para sa lahat: sa inyo, sa inyong mga alipin, sa mga bayarang manggagawa, sa mga dayuhan, 7 sa inyong mga kawan at iba pang mga hayop.
Ang Taon ng Paglaya
8 “Bibilang kayo ng pitong tigpipitong taon, bale apatnapu't siyam na taon. 9 Pagkalipas nito, sa ikasampung araw ng ikapitong buwan na siyang Araw ng Pagtubos sa Kasalanan, hihipan nang malakas ang trumpeta sa buong lupain. 10 Sa ganitong paraan, itatangi ninyo ang ikalimampung taon; ipahahayag ninyong malaya ang lahat sa buong lupain. Ito ay inyong Taon ng Paglaya; ang alipin ay babalik sa kanyang sariling tahanan at ang lupaing naipagbili ay isasauli sa dating may-ari. 11 Sa buong taóng iyon, huwag kayong magtatanim sa inyong bukirin. Huwag din ninyong aanihin ang bunga ng mga punong ubas na hindi naalagaan. 12 Sapagkat ito'y taon ng pagdiriwang at ito ay sagrado para sa inyo. Ang inyong kakainin ay ang mga halaman na kusang tumubo sa bukid.
13 “Sa taóng iyon, ang lahat ng ari-ariang naipagbili ay isasauli sa dating may-ari. 14 Kaya't kung magbebenta kayo o bibili sa inyong kapwa, huwag kayong mandaraya. 15 Magbabayad kayo ayon sa dami ng taon mula sa huling taon ng paglaya, at magbebenta naman ayon sa dami ng taon ng pamumunga bago dumating ang kasunod na Taon ng Paglaya. 16 Kung matagal pa, mataas ang halaga; kung iilang taon na lamang, mas mababa ang halaga sapagkat ang batayan ay ang dami ng maaani sa lupa. 17 Huwag kayong magdadayaan; sa halip ay matakot kayo sa akin. Ako si Yahweh, ang inyong Diyos.
18 “Kaya iingatan ninyo ang mga tuntunin at inyong tutuparin ang aking mga utos, upang kayo'y manatiling matatag sa lupaing pupuntahan ninyo. 19 Sa gayon, mag-aani kayo nang sagana; hindi kayo magugutom at magiging tiwasay ang pamumuhay ninyo sa lupaing iyon. 20 Huwag kayong mag-alala sa kakainin ninyo sa ikapitong taon kung hindi kayo magtatanim. 21 Pasasaganain ko ang inyong ani tuwing ikaanim na taon, at magiging sapat iyon para sa tatlong taon. 22 Kayo'y magtatanim na sa ikawalong taon ngunit ang dati pa rin ninyong inani ang kakainin ninyo hanggang sa anihan ng ikasiyam na taon.
Paglaya ng Ari-arian
23 “Hindi ninyo maipagbibili nang lubusan ang lupain sapagkat iyon ay akin; pinatitirhan ko lamang sa inyo iyon. 24 Kaya, maipagbili man ang alinmang bahagi ng inyong lupain, iyon ay maaaring tubusin ng dating may-ari.
25 “Kung sa inyo'y may maghirap at mapilitang magbenta ng kanyang ari-arian, iyon ay dapat tubusin agad ng pinakamalapit niyang kamag-anak. 26 Kung wala siyang kamag-anak na makakatubos niyon, siya na rin ang tutubos kapag umunlad uli ang kanyang kabuhayan. 27 Ibabalik niya sa bumili ang katumbas na halaga ng nalalabing taon bago dumating ang Taon ng Paglaya. Sa gayon, maibabalik sa kanya ang kanyang ari-arian. 28 Ngunit kung wala pa siyang sapat na pantubos, mananatili iyon sa bumili hanggang sa Taon ng Paglaya, at sa taóng iyon, ang ari-arian niya'y ibabalik sa kanya nang walang bayad.
29 “Kung may magbenta ng kanyang bahay na nasa loob ng lunsod na napapaderan, matutubos niya iyon sa loob ng isang taon. 30 Kung hindi niya matubos iyon sa loob ng isang taon, ang bahay ay magiging lubos nang pag-aari ng nakabili kahit sumapit pa ang Taon ng Paglaya. 31 Ang mga ipinagbiling bahay sa labas ng lunsod na napapaderan ay tulad ng lupang ipinagbili na maaaring matubos o kaya'y maisauli pagdating ng Taon ng Paglaya. 32 Ngunit ang mga bahay sa mga lunsod ng mga Levita, na kanilang ipinagbili ay maaari nilang tubusin kahit kailan. 33 Kung ayaw gamitin ng isang Levita ang karapatang ito, maibabalik iyon sa kanya pagdating ng Taon ng Paglaya kung ito'y nasa kanyang lunsod. Sapagkat ang mga gusaling tulad nito, ay lubos na pag-aari ng mga Levita, bilang kanilang bahagi sa bansang Israel. 34 Ngunit ang mga pastulan sa palibot ng kanilang mga lunsod ay hindi maaaring ipagbili, sapagkat iyo'y pag-aari nila magpakailanman.
Pagpapautang sa Mahihirap
35 “Kung(C) ang isang kababayan ninyo ay naghirap at hindi na niya kayang buhayin ang sarili, kupkupin ninyo siya tulad ng isang dayuhang nakikipamayan sa inyo. 36 Huwag ninyo siyang patutubuan kung siya'y mangutang sa inyo. Matakot kayo sa Diyos, at hayaan ninyo itong mabuhay na kasama ninyo. 37 Huwag(D) ninyong patutubuan ang pera o pagkaing inutang niya sa inyo. 38 Ako si Yahweh, ang inyong Diyos na nagpalaya sa inyo sa Egipto upang ibigay sa inyo ang Canaan at upang maging Diyos ninyo.
Paglaya ng mga Alipin
39 “Kung(E) dahil sa labis na kahirapan ay mapilitan ang isang Israelita na ipagbili sa inyo ang kanyang sarili, huwag ninyo siyang ituturing na alipin. 40 Ituring ninyo siyang katulong o dayuhang upahan, at maglilingkod siya sa inyo hanggang sumapit ang Taon ng Paglaya. 41 Pagdating ng panahong iyon, palalayain ninyo siya pati ang kanyang mga anak upang bumalik sa kanyang pamilya at ari-arian. 42 Akong si Yahweh ang naglabas sa kanila sa Egipto; hindi sila dapat ipagbili upang maging alipin. 43 Huwag ninyo silang pagmamalupitan; matakot kayo sa Diyos. 44 Kung kailangan ninyo ng aliping lalaki o babae, doon kayo bumili sa mga bansa sa inyong paligid. 45 Maaari ninyong bilhin bilang alipin ang mga anak ng mga dayuhang nakikipamayan sa inyo. 46 Maaari ninyo silang ipamigay sa inyong mga anak at maaari rin ninyo silang gawing alipin, ngunit huwag ninyong aalipinin o pagmamalupitan ang kapwa ninyo Israelita.
47 “Kung dahil sa labis na kahirapan at mapilitan ang isang Israelita na ipagbili ang kanyang sarili sa isang dayuhang mayaman, 48 siya ay may karapatang lumaya. Maaari siyang tubusin ng kanyang kapatid, 49 amain, pinsan, kamag-anak o siya mismo kung kaya na niya. 50 Ang halaga ng pagkabili sa kanya ay kukuwentahin mula nang bilhin siya hanggang sa Taon ng Paglaya, at ang itutubos sa kanya ay katumbas ng sweldo ng isang manggagawa. 51 Kung matagal pa ang Taon ng Paglaya, malaki ang pagbabayaran ng tutubos. 52 Ngunit maliit lamang kung malapit na ang panahong iyon, sapagkat ang itutubos sa kanya ay batay sa dami ng taon na dapat pa niyang ipaglingkod. 53 Ituturing siyang bayarang manggagawa sa panahon ng kanyang paglilingkod ngunit hindi siya maaaring pagmalupitan. 54 Kung hindi siya matubos sa mga paraang nabanggit, siya at ang mga anak niya ay palalayain pagsapit ng Taon ng Paglaya, 55 sapagkat alipin ko ang mga Israelita, at ako ang nagpalaya sa kanila sa Egipto. Ako si Yahweh, ang Diyos ninyo.

Le droit de rachat des terres et des personnes
L’année de repos pour la terre
25 Au mont Sinaï, l’Eternel s’adressa à Moïse en ces termes[a] :
2 Dis aux Israélites : Quand vous serez entrés dans le pays que je vais vous donner, la terre se reposera ; ce sera un temps de sabbat en l’honneur de l’Eternel. 3 Pendant six ans, tu ensemenceras ton champ, et pendant six ans, tu tailleras ta vigne et tu en récolteras les produits. 4 Mais la septième année sera un temps de sabbat, une année de repos pour la terre, un sabbat en l’honneur de l’Eternel ; tu n’ensemenceras pas ton champ et tu ne tailleras pas ta vigne. 5 Tu ne moissonneras pas les repousses de ta moisson précédente, et tu ne vendangeras pas les raisins de ta vigne non taillée : ce sera une année de repos pour la terre. 6 Vous vous nourrirez de ce que la terre produira pendant son temps de repos, toi, ton serviteur, ta servante, ton ouvrier journalier et les étrangers résidant chez vous, 7 ainsi que ton bétail et les animaux sauvages qui vivent dans ton pays : tout produit des terres leur servira de nourriture.
L’année du jubilé
8 Vous compterez sept années de repos, soit sept fois sept ans, c’est-à-dire une période de quarante-neuf ans. 9 Le dixième jour du septième mois, le jour des Expiations, vous ferez retentir le son du cor à travers tout le pays. 10 Vous déclarerez année sainte cette cinquantième année et, dans tout le pays, vous proclamerez la libération pour tous ses habitants. Ce sera pour vous l’année du jubilé[b] ; chacun rentrera en possession de sa terre, et chacun retournera dans sa famille. 11 La cinquantième année sera donc pour vous l’année du jubilé : vous ne sèmerez pas, vous ne moissonnerez pas les repousses, et vous ne vendangerez pas la vigne non taillée, 12 car c’est l’année du jubilé ; vous la tiendrez pour sainte ; vous mangerez ce qui aura poussé dans les terres.
13 En cette année jubilaire, chacun de vous retournera dans sa propriété. 14 Si donc vous vendez une propriété à votre compatriote, ou si vous en achetez une de lui, qu’aucun de vous ne lèse son compatriote. 15 On tiendra compte pour le prix d’achat du nombre d’années écoulées depuis le dernier jubilé, et son prix de vente sera donc fixé en fonction du nombre d’années de récolte restantes. 16 Selon qu’il reste plus ou moins d’années, le prix d’achat sera élevé ou faible, car, en fait, ce qui est vendu, c’est un certain nombre de récoltes. 17 Que nul de vous ne lèse donc son prochain, mais agissez par crainte de votre Dieu ; car je suis l’Eternel, votre Dieu.
18 Vous obéirez à mes commandements, vous observerez mes lois et vous les appliquerez ; ainsi vous demeurerez dans le pays en sécurité ; 19 et la terre vous donnera ses fruits, vous mangerez à satiété et vous y vivrez en sécurité.
20 Peut-être direz-vous : « Que mangerons-nous la septième année puisque nous n’aurons ni semé ni rentré de récoltes ? » 21 Sachez que la sixième année, je répandrai ma bénédiction sur vous, en vous assurant une récolte suffisante pour trois ans. 22 Lorsque vous sèmerez la huitième année, vous vivrez encore sur l’ancienne récolte dont vous mangerez jusqu’à la récolte de la neuvième année.
Loi sur la vente de terres et de maisons
23 Une terre ne devra jamais être vendue à titre définitif car le pays m’appartient et vous êtes chez moi des étrangers et des immigrés. 24 Dans tout le pays que vous aurez en possession, vous garantirez le droit de rachat des terres.
25 Lorsque ton compatriote devient pauvre et doit vendre une partie de son patrimoine foncier, un proche parent qui a le droit de rachat pourra racheter ce que son parent aura vendu. 26 S’il ne se trouve personne qui ait le droit de rachat, mais que cet homme ait de quoi racheter lui-même la terre, 27 il considérera le nombre d’années écoulées depuis la vente et versera le prix des années restantes à l’acquéreur ; ainsi il rentrera en possession de sa propriété. 28 Mais s’il ne trouve pas les moyens de racheter sa terre, elle restera entre les mains de l’acquéreur jusqu’à l’année du jubilé. A ce moment-là, elle lui sera rendue et il en reprendra possession.
29 Si quelqu’un vend une maison d’habitation située dans une ville entourée de remparts, son droit de rachat durera une année entière à partir du jour de la vente, et sera limité à cela. 30 Si la maison n’a pas été rachetée au terme d’une année complète, elle sera définitivement acquise à l’acquéreur et à ses descendants : elle ne sera pas rendue à son propriétaire d’origine à l’année du jubilé. 31 Par contre, les maisons des villages sans mur d’enceinte seront considérées comme les champs du pays ; elles pourront être rachetées en permanence et seront rendues au jubilé.
32 Quant aux villes des lévites et aux maisons qu’ils y posséderont, ceux-ci bénéficieront d’un droit de rachat perpétuel sur ces maisons[c]. 33 Si un lévite a vendu sa maison, l’acquéreur en sortira l’année du jubilé[d] ; en effet, les maisons des villes de lévites sont leur propriété inaliénable parmi les Israélites. 34 Les champs dépendant de leurs villes ne pourront pas être vendus ; car ils sont leur propriété à perpétuité.
L’aide aux pauvres
35 Si ton prochain qui vit près de toi s’appauvrit et tombe dans la misère, tu lui viendras en aide – il se trouve être comme un étranger ou un immigré – , afin qu’il survive à côté de toi[e]. 36 Agis par crainte de Dieu : ne reçois de la part de ton prochain ni intérêt, ni profit, pour que celui-ci puisse vivre à côté de toi[f]. 37 Si tu lui prêtes de l’argent, tu n’en exigeras pas d’intérêt et si tu lui donnes de tes vivres, tu n’en tireras pas de profit. 38 Je suis l’Eternel, votre Dieu, qui vous ai fait sortir d’Egypte pour vous donner le pays de Canaan, pour être votre Dieu.
Loi sur les serviteurs et les esclaves
39 Si ton prochain qui vit près de toi devient pauvre et se vend à toi, tu ne le feras pas travailler comme un esclave[g]. 40 Tu le traiteras comme un ouvrier salarié ou comme un immigré ; il sera ton serviteur jusqu’à l’année du jubilé. 41 Alors il quittera ton service, lui et ses enfants, pour retourner dans sa famille et rentrer en possession du patrimoine de ses ancêtres. 42 Car ce sont mes esclaves que j’ai fait sortir d’Egypte ; ils ne doivent pas être vendus comme esclaves. 43 Tu ne les traiteras pas avec brutalité ; tu craindras ton Dieu.
44 Les esclaves, hommes ou femmes, qui vous appartiendront, proviendront des peuples étrangers qui vous entourent. C’est d’eux que vous pourrez acquérir des esclaves et des servantes. 45 De plus, vous pourrez acheter des étrangers résidant chez vous et des membres de leurs familles qui vivent parmi vous et qui sont nés dans votre pays, et ils deviendront votre propriété. 46 Vous pourrez les léguer en héritage à vos enfants pour qu’ils en aient la propriété. Ils seront vos esclaves à perpétuité ; mais vous ne traiterez pas avec brutalité vos compatriotes, les Israélites.
47 Si un étranger résidant chez toi s’enrichit, et que l’un de tes compatriotes s’endette envers lui et se vende à lui ou à l’un des descendants d’une famille étrangère, 48 il jouira, même après que la vente aura été effectuée, d’un droit de rachat : l’un de ses frères pourra le racheter. 49 Son oncle paternel ou son cousin[h], ou un autre membre de sa parenté proche ou éloignée pourra le racheter ; ou encore il pourra se racheter lui-même s’il en trouve les moyens. 50 Il calculera, avec l’acquéreur, le nombre d’années comprises entre la date de la vente et l’année du jubilé. Le prix du rachat sera fixé en fonction du nombre d’années, sur la base du salaire d’un ouvrier. 51 S’il reste encore beaucoup d’années, il versera pour son rachat une large part du prix payé par l’acquéreur. 52 Et s’il reste peu d’années jusqu’à celle du jubilé, il en tiendra compte et versera comme prix de rachat une somme proportionnelle au nombre de ces années. 53 L’homme sera chez son maître comme un ouvrier engagé à l’année, mais tu ne permettras pas qu’il soit traité avec brutalité. 54 S’il n’est racheté d’aucune de ces manières, il retrouvera sa liberté l’année du jubilé, lui et ses enfants. 55 Car c’est de moi que les Israélites sont esclaves, ce sont mes esclaves que j’ai fait sortir d’Egypte. Je suis l’Eternel votre Dieu.

25 And the Lord spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,
2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto the Lord.
3 Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruit thereof;
4 But in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of rest unto the land, a sabbath for the Lord: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
5 That which groweth of its own accord of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, neither gather the grapes of thy vine undressed: for it is a year of rest unto the land.
6 And the sabbath of the land shall be meat for you; for thee, and for thy servant, and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant, and for thy stranger that sojourneth with thee.
7 And for thy cattle, and for the beast that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be meat.
8 And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years.
9 Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubile to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land.
10 And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubile unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
11 A jubile shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather the grapes in it of thy vine undressed.
12 For it is the jubile; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.
13 In the year of this jubile ye shall return every man unto his possession.
14 And if thou sell ought unto thy neighbour, or buyest ought of thy neighbour's hand, ye shall not oppress one another:
15 According to the number of years after the jubile thou shalt buy of thy neighbour, and according unto the number of years of the fruits he shall sell unto thee:
16 According to the multitude of years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of years thou shalt diminish the price of it: for according to the number of the years of the fruits doth he sell unto thee.
17 Ye shall not therefore oppress one another; but thou shalt fear thy God:for I am the Lord your God.
18 Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
19 And the land shall yield her fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
20 And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase:
21 Then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for three years.
22 And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat yet of old fruit until the ninth year; until her fruits come in ye shall eat of the old store.
23 The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine, for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
24 And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.
25 If thy brother be waxen poor, and hath sold away some of his possession, and if any of his kin come to redeem it, then shall he redeem that which his brother sold.
26 And if the man have none to redeem it, and himself be able to redeem it;
27 Then let him count the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; that he may return unto his possession.
28 But if he be not able to restore it to him, then that which is sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubile: and in the jubile it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.
29 And if a man sell a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; within a full year may he redeem it.
30 And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be established for ever to him that bought it throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubile.
31 But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubile.
32 Notwithstanding the cities of the Levites, and the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.
33 And if a man purchase of the Levites, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the year of jubile: for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.
34 But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.
35 And if thy brother be waxen poor, and fallen in decay with thee; then thou shalt relieve him: yea, though he be a stranger, or a sojourner; that he may live with thee.
36 Take thou no usury of him, or increase: but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.
37 Thou shalt not give him thy money upon usury, nor lend him thy victuals for increase.
38 I am the Lord your God, which brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.
39 And if thy brother that dwelleth by thee be waxen poor, and be sold unto thee; thou shalt not compel him to serve as a bondservant:
40 But as an hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with thee, and shall serve thee unto the year of jubile.
41 And then shall he depart from thee, both he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.
42 For they are my servants, which I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.
43 Thou shalt not rule over him with rigour; but shalt fear thy God.
44 Both thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, which thou shalt have, shall be of the heathen that are round about you; of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.
45 Moreover of the children of the strangers that do sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they begat in your land: and they shall be your possession.
46 And ye shall take them as an inheritance for your children after you, to inherit them for a possession; they shall be your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel, ye shall not rule one over another with rigour.
47 And if a sojourner or stranger wax rich by thee, and thy brother that dwelleth by him wax poor, and sell himself unto the stranger or sojourner by thee, or to the stock of the stranger's family:
48 After that he is sold he may be redeemed again; one of his brethren may redeem him:
49 Either his uncle, or his uncle's son, may redeem him, or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if he be able, he may redeem himself.
50 And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he was sold to him unto the year of jubile: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years, according to the time of an hired servant shall it be with him.
51 If there be yet many years behind, according unto them he shall give again the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.
52 And if there remain but few years unto the year of jubile, then he shall count with him, and according unto his years shall he give him again the price of his redemption.
53 And as a yearly hired servant shall he be with him: and the other shall not rule with rigour over him in thy sight.
54 And if he be not redeemed in these years, then he shall go out in the year of jubile, both he, and his children with him.
55 For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
