10 Säg till Israels barn: När ni kommer in i det land som jag ger er och ni bärgar in dess skörd, ska ni ta den kärve som är det första av er skörd och bära den till prästen. 11 Den kärven ska han lyfta inför Herrens ansikte så att ni räknas som välbehagliga. Dagen efter sabbaten[a] ska prästen lyfta den.
12 Den dag ni lyfter kärven ska ni offra ett felfritt, årsgammalt lamm som brännoffer åt Herren. 13 Som matoffer till det ska ni offra två tiondels efa fint mjöl, blandat med olja, ett eldsoffer åt Herren till en ljuvlig doft, och som dryckesoffer till det en fjärdedels hin vin[b]. 14 Ni ska inte äta något av den nya skörden, varken bröd eller rostade ax eller korn av grönskuren säd, inte förrän den dagen då ni har burit fram offergåvan åt er Gud. Detta ska vara en evig stadga för er från släkte till släkte, var ni än bor.
Veckohögtiden eller pingsten
15 (A) Sedan ska ni räkna sju hela sabbater från dagen efter sabbaten, från den dag då ni bar fram lyftofferkärven. 16 Femtio dagar[c] ska ni räkna, fram till dagen efter den sjunde sabbaten. Då ska ni bära fram ett nytt matoffer åt Herren. 17 Från de orter där ni bor ska ni bära fram lyftofferbröd, två kakor gjorda av två tiondels efa fint mjöl, bakade med surdeg. De är en förstlingsgåva åt Herren.
18 Och tillsammans med brödet ska ni föra fram sju felfria, årsgamla lamm, en ungtjur och två baggar som brännoffer åt Herren, med det matoffer och dryckesoffer som hör till. Det är ett eldsoffer till en ljuvlig doft för Herren. 19 Dessutom ska ni offra en bock som syndoffer och två årsgamla lamm som gemenskapsoffer. 20 Prästen ska lyfta dem som ett lyftoffer inför Herrens ansikte tillsammans med förstlingsbröden[d] som bärs fram med de båda lammen. De ska vara helgade åt Herren och tillhöra prästen. 21 Och samma dag ska ni utlysa en helig sammankomst, som ni ska hålla. Inget arbete ska ni då utföra. Detta ska vara en evig stadga för er från släkte till släkte, var ni än bor.
22 (B) När ni bärgar skörden i ert land ska du inte skörda till yttersta kanten av din åker, och du ska inte heller plocka ströaxen efter din skörd. Du ska lämna kvar det åt den fattige och åt främlingen. Jag är Herren er Gud.
Nyårshögtiden
23 Herren talade till Mose. Han sade: 24 (C) Säg till Israels barn: I sjunde månaden, på första dagen[e] i månaden, ska ni hålla sabbatsvila, en minneshögtid med basunklang, en helig sammankomst. 25 Inget arbete ska ni då utföra, och ni ska offra eldsoffer åt Herren.
Försoningsdagen
26 Och Herren talade till Mose. Han sade: 27 (D) Men på tionde dagen i samma sjunde månad är försoningsdagen[f]. Då ska ni hålla en helig sammankomst, och ni ska fasta och offra eldsoffer åt Herren. 28 På den dagen ska ni inte utföra något arbete, för det är en försoningsdag då försoning bringas för er inför Herren er Gud. 29 Var och en som inte fastar på denna dag ska utrotas ur sin släkt. 30 Och var och en som utför något arbete på just den dagen ska jag utrota ur hans folk.
31 Inget arbete ska ni utföra. Detta ska vara en evig stadga för er från släkte till släkte, var ni än bor. 32 En vilosabbat ska den vara för er, och ni ska då fasta. På kvällen den nionde dagen i månaden ska ni hålla denna sabbatsvila, från kväll till kväll.
Lövhyddohögtiden
33 Herren talade till Mose. Han sade: 34 (E) Säg till Israels barn: På femtonde dagen i samma sjunde månad är det Herrens lövhyddohögtid[g] i sju dagar. 35 På den första dagen ska man hålla en helig sammankomst och inte utföra något arbete. 36 (F) I sju dagar ska ni offra eldsoffer åt Herren. På åttonde dagen ska ni hålla en helig sammankomst och offra eldsoffer åt Herren. Det är en högtidsförsamling. Inget arbete ska ni då utföra.
37 Detta är Herrens högtider. Ni ska utlysa dem som heliga sammankomster och offra eldsoffer åt Herren, brännoffer och matoffer, slaktoffer och dryckesoffer, varje dag de bestämda offren för den dagen. 38 Detta är utöver Herrens sabbater och era övriga gåvor och alla era löftesoffer och alla era frivilliga offer som ni ger åt Herren.
39 Alltså ska ni på femtonde dagen i sjunde månaden, när ni har hämtat in landets skörd, fira Herrens högtid i sju dagar. Den första dagen är en sabbatsvila, och den åttonde dagen är också en sabbatsvila. 40 (G) På första dagen ska ni ta frukt av era vackraste träd, kvistar av palmer och grenar av lummiga träd och av pilträd, och ni ska glädja er i sju dagar inför Herren er Guds ansikte.
41 Ni ska fira denna högtid som en Herrens högtid sju dagar om året. Detta ska vara en evig stadga för er från släkte till släkte. I sjunde månaden ska ni fira den. 42 Då ska ni bo i lövhyddor i sju dagar. Alla infödda i Israel ska bo i lövhyddor, 43 för att era efterkommande ska veta att jag lät Israels barn bo i lövhyddor när jag förde dem ut ur Egyptens land. Jag är Herren er Gud.
44 Och Mose talade till Israels barn om Herrens högtider.

- 23:24 sjunde månaden, på första dagen Vid nymåne i september-oktober. I senare judendom firas dagen som nyårsdag (Rosh Hashaná). Basunen (hebr. shofár, ett bagghorn, jfr Jos 6:4) samlade folket till hösthögtid när fruktskörden inbärgades (jfr Matt 24:31, 1 Tess 4:16).

- 23:34 lövhyddohögtid Hebr. Suckót, en glad skördefest i oktober (5 Mos 16:13f, Neh 8:14f, Joh 7:2f). Lövhyddor användes ute på åkrarna under skördetiden (Jes 1:8).

10 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When you enter the land I am going to give you(A) and you reap its harvest,(B) bring to the priest a sheaf(C) of the first grain you harvest.(D) 11 He is to wave the sheaf before the Lord(E) so it will be accepted(F) on your behalf; the priest is to wave it on the day after the Sabbath. 12 On the day you wave the sheaf, you must sacrifice as a burnt offering to the Lord a lamb a year old(G) without defect,(H) 13 together with its grain offering(I) of two-tenths of an ephah[a](J) of the finest flour mixed with olive oil—a food offering presented to the Lord, a pleasing aroma—and its drink offering(K) of a quarter of a hin[b] of wine.(L) 14 You must not eat any bread, or roasted or new grain,(M) until the very day you bring this offering to your God.(N) This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come,(O) wherever you live.(P)
The Festival of Weeks(Q)
15 “‘From the day after the Sabbath, the day you brought the sheaf of the wave offering, count off seven full weeks. 16 Count off fifty days up to the day after the seventh Sabbath,(R) and then present an offering of new grain to the Lord. 17 From wherever you live, bring two loaves made of two-tenths of an ephah(S) of the finest flour, baked with yeast, as a wave offering of firstfruits(T) to the Lord. 18 Present with this bread seven male lambs, each a year old and without defect, one young bull and two rams. They will be a burnt offering to the Lord, together with their grain offerings and drink offerings(U)—a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord. 19 Then sacrifice one male goat for a sin offering[c] and two lambs, each a year old, for a fellowship offering. 20 The priest is to wave the two lambs before the Lord as a wave offering,(V) together with the bread of the firstfruits. They are a sacred offering to the Lord for the priest. 21 On that same day you are to proclaim a sacred assembly(W) and do no regular work.(X) This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come, wherever you live.
22 “‘When you reap the harvest(Y) of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest.(Z) Leave them for the poor and for the foreigner residing among you.(AA) I am the Lord your God.’”
The Festival of Trumpets(AB)
23 The Lord said to Moses, 24 “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the first day of the seventh month you are to have a day of sabbath rest, a sacred assembly(AC) commemorated with trumpet blasts.(AD) 25 Do no regular work,(AE) but present a food offering to the Lord.(AF)’”
The Day of Atonement(AG)
26 The Lord said to Moses, 27 “The tenth day of this seventh month(AH) is the Day of Atonement.(AI) Hold a sacred assembly(AJ) and deny yourselves,[d] and present a food offering to the Lord. 28 Do not do any work(AK) on that day, because it is the Day of Atonement, when atonement is made for you before the Lord your God. 29 Those who do not deny themselves on that day must be cut off from their people.(AL) 30 I will destroy from among their people(AM) anyone who does any work on that day. 31 You shall do no work at all. This is to be a lasting ordinance(AN) for the generations to come, wherever you live. 32 It is a day of sabbath rest(AO) for you, and you must deny yourselves. From the evening of the ninth day of the month until the following evening you are to observe your sabbath.”(AP)
The Festival of Tabernacles(AQ)
33 The Lord said to Moses, 34 “Say to the Israelites: ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh(AR) month the Lord’s Festival of Tabernacles(AS) begins, and it lasts for seven days. 35 The first day is a sacred assembly;(AT) do no regular work.(AU) 36 For seven days present food offerings to the Lord, and on the eighth day hold a sacred assembly(AV) and present a food offering to the Lord.(AW) It is the closing special assembly; do no regular work.
37 (“‘These are the Lord’s appointed festivals, which you are to proclaim as sacred assemblies for bringing food offerings to the Lord—the burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings(AX) required for each day. 38 These offerings(AY) are in addition to those for the Lord’s Sabbaths(AZ) and[e] in addition to your gifts and whatever you have vowed and all the freewill offerings(BA) you give to the Lord.)
39 “‘So beginning with the fifteenth day of the seventh month, after you have gathered the crops of the land, celebrate the festival(BB) to the Lord for seven days;(BC) the first day is a day of sabbath rest, and the eighth day also is a day of sabbath rest. 40 On the first day you are to take branches(BD) from luxuriant trees—from palms, willows and other leafy trees(BE)—and rejoice(BF) before the Lord your God for seven days. 41 Celebrate this as a festival to the Lord for seven days each year. This is to be a lasting ordinance for the generations to come; celebrate it in the seventh month. 42 Live in temporary shelters(BG) for seven days: All native-born Israelites are to live in such shelters 43 so your descendants will know(BH) that I had the Israelites live in temporary shelters when I brought them out of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.’”
44 So Moses announced to the Israelites the appointed festivals of the Lord.

11 And he shall wave the sheaf before the Lord, to be accepted for you: on the morrow after the sabbath the priest shall wave it.
12 And ye shall offer that day when ye wave the sheaf an he lamb without blemish of the first year for a burnt offering unto the Lord.
13 And the meat offering thereof shall be two tenth deals of fine flour mingled with oil, an offering made by fire unto the Lord for a sweet savour: and the drink offering thereof shall be of wine, the fourth part of an hin.
14 And ye shall eat neither bread, nor parched corn, nor green ears, until the selfsame day that ye have brought an offering unto your God: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath, from the day that ye brought the sheaf of the wave offering; seven sabbaths shall be complete:
16 Even unto the morrow after the seventh sabbath shall ye number fifty days; and ye shall offer a new meat offering unto the Lord.
17 Ye shall bring out of your habitations two wave loaves of two tenth deals; they shall be of fine flour; they shall be baken with leaven; they are the firstfruits unto the Lord.
18 And ye shall offer with the bread seven lambs without blemish of the first year, and one young bullock, and two rams: they shall be for a burnt offering unto the Lord, with their meat offering, and their drink offerings, even an offering made by fire, of sweet savour unto the Lord.
19 Then ye shall sacrifice one kid of the goats for a sin offering, and two lambs of the first year for a sacrifice of peace offerings.
20 And the priest shall wave them with the bread of the firstfruits for a wave offering before the Lord, with the two lambs: they shall be holy to the Lord for the priest.
21 And ye shall proclaim on the selfsame day, that it may be an holy convocation unto you: ye shall do no servile work therein: it shall be a statute for ever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.
22 And when ye reap the harvest of your land, thou shalt not make clean riddance of the corners of thy field when thou reapest, neither shalt thou gather any gleaning of thy harvest: thou shalt leave them unto the poor, and to the stranger: I am the Lord your God.
23 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
24 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, In the seventh month, in the first day of the month, shall ye have a sabbath, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, an holy convocation.
25 Ye shall do no servile work therein: but ye shall offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
26 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
27 Also on the tenth day of this seventh month there shall be a day of atonement: it shall be an holy convocation unto you; and ye shall afflict your souls, and offer an offering made by fire unto the Lord.
28 And ye shall do no work in that same day: for it is a day of atonement, to make an atonement for you before the Lord your God.
29 For whatsoever soul it be that shall not be afflicted in that same day, he shall be cut off from among his people.
30 And whatsoever soul it be that doeth any work in that same day, the same soul will I destroy from among his people.
31 Ye shall do no manner of work: it shall be a statute for ever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.
32 It shall be unto you a sabbath of rest, and ye shall afflict your souls: in the ninth day of the month at even, from even unto even, shall ye celebrate your sabbath.
33 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,
34 Speak unto the children of Israel, saying, The fifteenth day of this seventh month shall be the feast of tabernacles for seven days unto the Lord.
35 On the first day shall be an holy convocation: ye shall do no servile work therein.

42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall dwell in booths:
43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I am the Lord your God.
44 And Moses declared unto the children of Israel the feasts of the Lord.
