⁷ The priest shall then put some of the blood on the horns^(A) of the altar of fragrant incense that is before the Lord in the tent of meeting. The rest of the bull’s blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar^(B) of burnt offering^(C) at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

¹⁸ He is to put some of the blood^(A) on the horns of the altar that is before the Lord^(B) in the tent of meeting. The rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar^(C) of burnt offering at the entrance to the tent of meeting.

²⁵ Then the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar^(A) of burnt offering and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.^(B)

¹² Take some of the bull’s blood and put it on the horns^(A) of the altar with your finger, and pour out the rest of it at the base of the altar.^(B)

² It is to be square, a cubit long and a cubit wide, and two cubits high^[a]—its horns^(A) of one piece with it.

² They made a horn at each of the four corners, so that the horns and the altar were of one piece, and they overlaid the altar with bronze.^(A)

⁵⁰ But Adonijah, in fear of Solomon, went and took hold of the horns^(A) of the altar.

²⁸ When the news reached Joab, who had conspired with Adonijah though not with Absalom, he fled to the tent of the Lord and took hold of the horns^(A) of the altar.
