⁷ Then Moses said to Aaron, “Draw near to the altar and ^(A)offer your sin offering and your burnt offering and ^(B)make atonement for yourself and for the people, and bring the offering of the people and make atonement for them, as the Lord has commanded.”

³ Because of this he is obligated to offer sacrifice for his own sins ^(A)just as he does for those of the people.

5 For every high priest chosen from among men ^(A)is appointed to act on behalf of men ^(B)in relation to God, ^(C)to offer gifts and sacrifices for sins.

⁷ but into the second only ^(A)the high priest goes, and he but ^(B)once a year, and not without taking blood, ^(C)which he offers for himself and for the unintentional sins of the people.

³ if it is the anointed priest who ^(A)sins, thus bringing guilt on the people, then he shall offer for the sin that he has committed ^(B)a bull from the herd without blemish to the Lord for a sin offering.

²⁷ He has no need, like those high priests, to offer sacrifices daily, ^(A)first for his own sins and then for those of the people, since he did this ^(B)once for all when he offered up himself. ²⁸ For the law appoints men ^(C)in their weakness as high priests, but the word of the oath, which came later than the law, appoints a Son who has been made ^(D)perfect forever.

¹⁴ Therefore I swear to the house of Eli ^(A)that the iniquity of Eli's house shall not be atoned for by sacrifice or offering forever.”

² and he said to Aaron, ^(A)“Take for yourself a bull calf for a sin offering and ^(B)a ram for a burnt offering, both without blemish, and offer them before the Lord.

³⁴ As has been done today, the Lord has commanded to be done to make atonement for you.

¹⁶ Then ^(A)the anointed priest shall bring some of the blood of the bull into the tent of meeting, ¹⁷ and the priest shall dip his finger in the blood and sprinkle it seven times before the Lord in front of the veil. ¹⁸ And he shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar that is in the tent of meeting before the Lord, and the rest of the blood he shall pour out at the base of the altar of burnt offering that is at the entrance of the tent of meeting. ¹⁹ And all its fat he shall take from it and burn on the altar. ²⁰ Thus shall he do with the bull. As he did ^(B)with the bull of the sin offering, so shall he do with this. ^(C)And the priest shall make atonement for them, and they shall be forgiven.
