The Priests Begin Their Ministry

9 On the eighth day^(A) Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders^(B) of Israel.

28 After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene^(B) and the other Mary^(C) went to look at the tomb.

²⁶ For seven days they are to make atonement for the altar and cleanse it; thus they will dedicate it. ²⁷ At the end of these days, from the eighth day^(A) on, the priests are to present your burnt offerings^(B) and fellowship offerings^(C) on the altar. Then I will accept you, declares the Sovereign Lord.”

¹⁰ Then on the eighth day^(A) they must bring two doves or two young pigeons^(B) to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting.^(C)

³³ Do not leave the entrance to the tent of meeting for seven days, until the days of your ordination are completed, for your ordination will last seven days.^(A)
