¹² And the fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not be put out. And the priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and lay the burnt offering in order on it; and he shall burn on it ^(A)the fat of the peace offerings.

²⁴ and ^(A)fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When all the people saw it, they ^(B)shouted and fell on their ^(C)faces.

The Daily Offerings^(A)

³⁸ “Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: ^(B)two lambs of the first year, ^(C)day by day continually. ³⁹ One lamb you shall offer ^(D)in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer ^[a]at twilight. ⁴⁰ With the one lamb shall be one-tenth of an ephah of flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of pressed oil, and one-fourth of a hin of wine as a drink offering. ⁴¹ And the other lamb you shall ^(E)offer ^[b]at twilight; and you shall offer with it the grain offering and the drink offering, as in the morning, for a sweet aroma, an offering made by fire to the Lord. ⁴² This shall be ^(F)a continual burnt offering throughout your generations at the door of the tabernacle of meeting before the Lord, ^(G)where I will meet you to speak with you.

³¹ and to bringing ^(A)the wood offering and the firstfruits at appointed times.

^(B)Remember me, O my God, for good!

⁹ ‘Then he shall offer from the sacrifice of the peace offering, as an offering made by fire to the Lord, its fat and the whole fat tail which he shall remove close to the backbone. And the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, ¹⁰ the two kidneys and the fat that is on them by the flanks, and the fatty lobe attached to the liver above the kidneys, he shall remove; ¹¹ and the priest shall burn them on the altar as ^(A)food, an offering made by fire to the Lord.

¹³ Also they shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth over it. ¹⁴ They shall put on it all its implements with which they minister there—the firepans, the forks, the shovels, the ^[a]basins, and all the utensils of the altar—and they shall spread on it a covering of badger skins, and insert its poles.

¹⁴ Then he shall offer from it his offering, as an offering made by fire to the Lord. The fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, ¹⁵ the two kidneys and the fat that is on them by the flanks, and the fatty lobe attached to the liver above the kidneys, he shall remove; ¹⁶ and the priest shall burn them on the altar as food, an offering made by fire for a sweet aroma; ^(A)all the fat is the Lord’s.

³ Then he shall offer from the sacrifice of the peace offering an offering made by fire to the Lord. ^(A)The fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, ⁴ the two kidneys and the fat that is on them by the flanks, and the fatty lobe attached to the liver above the kidneys, he shall remove; ⁵ and Aaron’s sons ^(B)shall burn it on the altar upon the ^(C)burnt sacrifice, which is on the wood that is on the fire, as an ^(D)offering made by fire, a ^(E)sweet aroma to the Lord.

⁷ The sons of Aaron the priest shall put ^(A)fire on the altar, and ^(B)lay the wood in order on the fire. ⁸ Then the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall lay the parts, the head, and the fat in order on the wood that is on the fire upon the altar; ⁹ but he shall wash its entrails and its legs with water. And the priest shall burn all on the altar as a burnt sacrifice, an offering made by fire, a ^(C)sweet^[a] aroma to the Lord.
