¹² The fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it; it shall not go out. The priest shall burn wood on it every morning, and he shall arrange the burnt offering on it and shall burn on it ^(A)the fat of the peace offerings.

²⁴ And ^(A)fire came out from before the Lord and consumed the burnt offering and the pieces of fat on the altar, and when all the people saw it, ^(B)they shouted and ^(C)fell on their faces.

³⁸ “Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: ^(A)two lambs a year old ^(B)day by day regularly. ³⁹ One lamb you shall offer ^(C)in the morning, and the other lamb you shall offer ^(D)at twilight. ⁴⁰ And with the first lamb a tenth measure^[a] of fine flour mingled with a fourth of a hin^[b] of beaten oil, and a fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering. ⁴¹ The other lamb you shall offer ^(E)at twilight, and shall offer with it a grain offering and its drink offering, as ^(F)in the morning, for a ^(G)pleasing aroma, a food offering to the Lord. ⁴² It shall be a ^(H)regular burnt offering throughout your generations at the entrance of the tent of meeting before the Lord, ^(I)where I will meet with you, to speak to you there.

³¹ and I provided ^(A)for the wood offering ^(B)at appointed times, and for the firstfruits.

^(C)Remember me, O my God, for good.

⁹ Then from the sacrifice of the peace offering he shall offer as a food offering to the Lord its fat; he shall remove the whole ^(A)fat tail, cut off close to the backbone, and the fat that covers the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails ¹⁰ and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins and the long lobe of the liver that he shall remove ^(B)with the kidneys. ¹¹ And the priest shall burn it on the altar as ^(C)a food offering to the Lord.

¹³ And they shall take away the ashes from the altar and spread a purple cloth over it. ¹⁴ And they shall put on it all the utensils of the altar, which are used for the service there, the fire pans, the forks, the shovels, and the basins, all the utensils of the altar; and they shall spread on it a covering of goatskin, and shall put in its poles.

¹⁴ Then he shall offer from it, as his offering for a food offering to the Lord, the fat covering the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails ¹⁵ and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins and the long lobe of the liver that he shall remove ^(A)with the kidneys. ¹⁶ And the priest shall burn them on the altar as a ^(B)food offering with a pleasing aroma. ^(C)All fat is the Lord's.

³ And from the sacrifice of the peace offering, as a food offering to the Lord, he shall offer ^(A)the fat covering the entrails and all the fat that is on the entrails, ^4 (B)and the two kidneys with the fat that is on them at the loins, and the long lobe of the liver that he shall remove with the kidneys. ⁵ Then Aaron's sons ^(C)shall burn it on the altar on top of the burnt offering, which is on the wood on the fire; it is a food offering with a pleasing aroma to the Lord.

⁷ and the sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar and ^(A)arrange wood on the fire. ⁸ And Aaron's sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, the head, and the fat, on the wood that is on the fire on the altar; ⁹ but its entrails and its legs he shall wash with water. And the priest shall burn all of it on the altar, as ^(B)a burnt offering, a food offering^[a] with a ^(C)pleasing aroma to the Lord.
