¹⁶ He shall also make restitution for what he has done amiss in the holy thing and ^(A)shall add a fifth to it and give it to the priest. ^(B)And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering, and he shall be forgiven.

^7 (A)he shall confess his sin that he has committed.^{[a] (B)}And he shall make full restitution for his wrong, adding a fifth to it and giving it to him to whom he did the wrong.

^14 (A)And if anyone eats of a holy thing unintentionally, he shall add ^(B)the fifth of its value to it and give the holy thing to the priest.

³¹ If a man wishes to redeem some of his tithe, he shall add a fifth to it.

²⁷ And if it is an unclean animal, then he shall buy it back at the valuation, ^(A)and add a fifth to it; or, if it is not redeemed, it shall be sold at the valuation.

^15 (A)And if the donor wishes to redeem his house, he shall add a ^(B)fifth to the valuation price, and it shall be his.

^13 (A)But if he wishes to redeem it, he shall add a ^(B)fifth to the valuation.

⁴ if he has sinned and has realized his guilt and will restore ^(A)what he took by robbery or what he got by oppression or the deposit that was committed to him or the lost thing that he found ⁵ or anything about which he has sworn falsely, he shall ^(B)restore it in full and shall add a fifth to it, and give it to him to whom it belongs on the day he realizes his guilt.

¹⁰ Then he shall offer the second for a burnt offering according to the rule. ^(A)And the priest shall make atonement for him for the sin that he has committed, and he shall be forgiven.

Christ Our Advocate

2 My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, ^(A)we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. ^2 (B)He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but ^(C)also for the sins of the whole world.
