⁸ ‘But if he is too poor to pay your valuation, then he shall present himself before the priest, and the priest shall set a value for ^(A)him; according to the ability of him who vowed, the priest shall value him.

^7 (A)For you have the poor with you always, and whenever you wish you may do them good; ^(B)but Me you do not have always.

²¹ “But ^(A)if he is poor and cannot afford it, then he shall take one male lamb as a trespass offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, ^[a]one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with oil as a grain offering, a log of oil, ^22 (B)and two turtledoves or two young pigeons, such as he is able to afford: one shall be a sin offering and the other a burnt offering.

¹² For ^(A)if there is first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, and not according to what he does not have.

The Widow’s Two Mites^(A)

21 And He looked up ^(B)and saw the rich putting their gifts into the treasury, ² and He saw also a certain ^(C)poor widow putting in two ^(D)mites.^{[a] 3} So He said, “Truly I say to you ^(E)that this poor widow has put in more than all; ⁴ for all these out of their abundance have put in offerings ^[b]for God, but she out of her poverty put in ^(F)all the livelihood that she had.”

^8 (A)‘And if she is not able to bring a lamb, then she may bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons—one as a burnt offering and the other as a sin offering. ^(B)So the priest shall make atonement for her, and she will be ^[a]clean.’ ”

¹¹ ‘But if he is ^(A)not able to bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, then he who sinned shall bring for his offering one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour as a sin offering. ^(B)He shall put no oil on it, nor shall he put frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering.

^7 (A)‘If he is not able to bring a lamb, then he shall bring to the Lord, for his trespass which he has committed, two ^(B)turtledoves or two young pigeons: one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering.
