² God has not cast away His people whom ^(A)He foreknew. Or do you not know what the Scripture says of Elijah, how he pleads with God against Israel, saying,

²³ But the Lord was ^(A)gracious to them, had compassion on them, and ^(B)regarded them, ^(C)because of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not yet destroy them or cast them from His presence.

^29 (A)But from there you will seek the Lord your God, and you will find Him if you seek Him with all your heart and with all your soul. ³⁰ When you are in ^[a]distress, and all these things come upon you in the ^(B)latter days, when you ^(C)turn to the Lord your God and obey His voice ³¹ (for the Lord your God is a merciful God), He will not forsake you nor ^(D)destroy you, nor forget the covenant of your fathers which He swore to them.

²⁶ And so all Israel will be ^[a]saved, as it is written:

An Everlasting Covenant

⁶⁰ “Nevertheless I will ^(A)remember My covenant with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish ^(B)an everlasting covenant with you.

^22 (A)Yet behold, there shall be left in it a remnant who will be ^(B)brought out, both sons and daughters; surely they will come out to you, and ^(C)you will see their ways and their doings. Then you will be comforted concerning the disaster that I have brought upon Jerusalem, all that I have brought upon it. ²³ And they will comfort you, when you see their ways and their doings; and you shall know that I have done nothing ^(D)without cause that I have done in it,” says the Lord God.
