³³ And you I will scatter among the nations, and I will unsheathe the sword against you; your land shall be a desolation and your cities a waste.^(A)

¹⁴ and I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations that they had not known. Thus the land they left was desolate, so that no one went to and fro, and a pleasant land was made desolate.”^(A)

²³ Moreover, I swore to them in the wilderness that I would scatter them among the nations and disperse them through the countries,^(A)

²⁷ The Lord will scatter you among the peoples; only a few of you will be left among the nations where the Lord will lead you.^(A)

²⁴ they will fall by the edge of the sword and be taken away as captives among all nations, and Jerusalem will be trampled on by the nations, until the times of the nations are fulfilled.^(A)

¹⁵ I will scatter you among the nations and disperse you through the countries, and I will purge your filthiness out of you.^(A)

¹⁶ I will scatter them among nations that neither they nor their ancestors have known, and I will send the sword after them until I have consumed them.^(A)

1 James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,

To the twelve tribes in the dispersion:

Greetings.

¹⁴ I will scatter to every wind all who are around him, his helpers and all his troops, and I will unsheathe the sword behind them.^{(A) 15} And they shall know that I am the Lord when I disperse them among the nations and scatter them through the countries.^{(B) 16} But I will let a few of them escape from the sword, from famine and pestilence, so that they may tell of all their abominations among the nations where they go; then they shall know that I am the Lord.^(C)
