^2 (A)“Command the children of Israel that they bring to you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually.

⁶ For it is the God ^(A)who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has ^(B)shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.

Walk in Light

⁸ For you were once darkness, but now you are ^(A)light in the Lord. Walk as children of light ⁹ (for ^(B)the fruit of the ^[a]Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), ^10 (C)finding out what is acceptable to the Lord. ¹¹ And have ^(D)no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather ^[b]expose them. ^12 (E)For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret. ¹³ But ^(F)all things that are ^[c]exposed are made manifest by the light, for whatever makes manifest is light. ¹⁴ Therefore He says:

The Care of the Lampstand^(A)

²⁰ “And ^(B)you shall command the children of Israel that they bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to cause the lamp to ^[a]burn continually. ²¹ In the tabernacle of meeting, ^(C)outside the veil which is before the Testimony, ^(D)Aaron and his sons shall tend it from evening until morning before the Lord. ^(E)It shall be a statute forever to their generations on behalf of the children of Israel.

^18 (A)to open their eyes, in order ^(B)to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, ^(C)that they may receive forgiveness of sins and ^(D)an inheritance among those who are ^(E)sanctified^[a] by faith in Me.’

¹⁵ that you may become blameless and ^[a]harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as ^(A)lights in the world, ¹⁶ holding fast the word of life, so that ^(B)I may rejoice in the day of Christ that ^(C)I have not run in vain or labored in ^(D)vain.

¹⁷ that ^(A)the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, ^(B)may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, ^18 (C)the eyes of your ^[a]understanding being enlightened; that you may know what is ^(D)the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,

¹² Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, ^(A)“I am the light of the world. He who ^(B)follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

³⁵ He was the burning and ^(A)shining lamp, and ^(B)you were willing for a time to rejoice in his light.
