¹⁹ Then sacrifice one male goat for a sin offering^[a] and two lambs, each a year old, for a fellowship offering.

³⁰ Include one male goat^(A) to make atonement for you.

²¹ God made him who had no sin^(A) to be sin^[a] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.^(B)

³ For what the law was powerless^(A) to do because it was weakened by the flesh,^[a](B) God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh^(C) to be a sin offering.^[b](D) And so he condemned sin in the flesh,

²⁴ and if this is done unintentionally^(A) without the community being aware of it,^(B) then the whole community is to offer a young bull for a burnt offering^(C) as an aroma pleasing to the Lord,^(D) along with its prescribed grain offering^(E) and drink offering,^(F) and a male goat for a sin offering.^[a](G)

¹⁵ “He shall then slaughter the goat for the sin offering for the people^(A) and take its blood behind the curtain^(B) and do with it as he did with the bull’s blood: He shall sprinkle^(C) it on the atonement cover and in front of it.

The Fellowship Offering

¹¹ “‘These are the regulations for the fellowship offering anyone may present to the Lord:

¹² “‘If they offer it as an expression of thankfulness, then along with this thank offering^(A) they are to offer thick loaves^(B) made without yeast^(C) and with olive oil mixed in, thin loaves^(D) made without yeast and brushed with oil,^(E) and thick loaves of the finest flour well-kneaded and with oil mixed in. ¹³ Along with their fellowship offering of thanksgiving^(F) they are to present an offering with thick loaves of bread made with yeast.^{(G) 14} They are to bring one of each kind as an offering, a contribution to the Lord; it belongs to the priest who splashes the blood of the fellowship offering against the altar. ¹⁵ The meat of their fellowship offering of thanksgiving must be eaten on the day it is offered; they must leave none of it till morning.^(H)

¹⁶ “‘If, however, their offering is the result of a vow^(I) or is a freewill offering,^(J) the sacrifice shall be eaten on the day they offer it, but anything left over may be eaten on the next day.^{(K) 17} Any meat of the sacrifice left over till the third day must be burned up.^{(L) 18} If any meat of the fellowship offering^(M) is eaten on the third day, the one who offered it will not be accepted.^(N) It will not be reckoned^(O) to their credit, for it has become impure; the person who eats any of it will be held responsible.^(P)

²³ and the sin he has committed becomes known, he must bring as his offering a male goat^(A) without defect. ²⁴ He is to lay his hand on the goat’s head and slaughter it at the place where the burnt offering is slaughtered before the Lord.^(B) It is a sin offering.^{(C) 25} Then the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering with his finger and put it on the horns of the altar^(D) of burnt offering and pour out the rest of the blood at the base of the altar.^{(E) 26} He shall burn all the fat on the altar as he burned the fat of the fellowship offering. In this way the priest will make atonement^(F) for the leader’s sin, and he will be forgiven.^(G)

²⁷ “‘If any member of the community sins unintentionally^(H) and does what is forbidden in any of the Lord’s commands, when they realize their guilt ²⁸ and the sin they have committed becomes known, they must bring as their offering^(I) for the sin they committed a female goat^(J) without defect.

The Fellowship Offering

3 “‘If your offering is a fellowship offering,^(A) and you offer an animal from the herd, whether male or female, you are to present before the Lord an animal without defect.^{(B) 2} You are to lay your hand on the head^(C) of your offering and slaughter it^(D) at the entrance to the tent of meeting.^(E) Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall splash^(F) the blood against the sides^(G) of the altar.^{(H) 3} From the fellowship offering you are to bring a food offering to the Lord: the internal organs^(I) and all the fat^(J) that is connected to them, ⁴ both kidneys^(K) with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys. ⁵ Then Aaron’s sons^(L) are to burn it on the altar^(M) on top of the burnt offering^(N) that is lying on the burning wood;^(O) it is a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the Lord.^(P)

⁶ “‘If you offer an animal from the flock as a fellowship offering^(Q) to the Lord, you are to offer a male or female without defect. ⁷ If you offer a lamb,^(R) you are to present it before the Lord,^{(S) 8} lay your hand on its head and slaughter it^(T) in front of the tent of meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall splash its blood against the sides of the altar. ⁹ From the fellowship offering you are to bring a food offering^(U) to the Lord: its fat, the entire fat tail cut off close to the backbone, the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them, ¹⁰ both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys. ¹¹ The priest shall burn them on the altar^(V) as a food offering^(W) presented to the Lord.^(X)

¹² “‘If your offering is a goat,^(Y) you are to present it before the Lord, ¹³ lay your hand on its head and slaughter it in front of the tent of meeting. Then Aaron’s sons shall splash^(Z) its blood against the sides of the altar.^{(AA) 14} From what you offer you are to present this food offering to the Lord: the internal organs and all the fat that is connected to them, ¹⁵ both kidneys with the fat on them near the loins, and the long lobe of the liver, which you will remove with the kidneys.^{(AB) 16} The priest shall burn them on the altar^(AC) as a food offering,^(AD) a pleasing aroma.^(AE) All the fat^(AF) is the Lord’s.^(AG)

¹⁷ “‘This is a lasting ordinance^(AH) for the generations to come,^(AI) wherever you live:^(AJ) You must not eat any fat or any blood.^(AK)’”
