¹⁴ And you shall eat neither bread nor grain ^(A)parched or ^(B)fresh until this same day, until you have brought the offering of your God: it is a statute forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

^26 (A)The best of the firstfruits of your ground you shall bring to the house of the Lord your God. ^(B)You shall not boil a young goat in its mother's milk.”

⁴ and Abel also brought of ^(A)the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions. And the Lord ^(B)had regard for Abel and his offering, ⁵ but ^(C)for Cain and his offering he had no regard. So Cain was very angry, and his face fell.

^14 (A)and you made known to them your holy Sabbath and commanded them commandments and statutes and a law by Moses your servant.

¹¹ And the day after the Passover, on that very day, they ate of the produce of the land, unleavened cakes and parched grain. ¹² And ^(A)the manna ceased the day after they ate of the produce of the land. And there was no longer manna for the people of Israel, but they ate of the fruit of the land of Canaan that year.

^12 (A)You shall remember that you were a slave in Egypt; and you shall be careful to observe these statutes.

^20 (A)Of the first of your dough you shall present a loaf as a contribution; like a ^(B)contribution from the threshing floor, so shall you present it. ^21 (C)Some of the first of your dough you shall give to the Lord as a contribution throughout your generations.

² “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, When you come into ^(A)the land that I give you, the land shall keep a Sabbath to the Lord. ³ For six years you shall sow your field, and for six years you shall prune your vineyard and gather in its fruits,

²³ “When you come into the land and plant any kind of tree for food, then you shall regard its fruit as forbidden.^[a] Three years it shall be forbidden to you; it must not be eaten. ²⁴ And in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, an offering of praise to the Lord. ²⁵ But in the fifth year you may eat of its fruit, to increase its yield for you: I am the Lord your God.

¹¹ and ^(A)you are to teach the people of Israel all the statutes that the Lord has spoken to them by Moses.”
