³² Do not bring shame on my holy name, for I will display my holiness among the people of Israel. I am the Lord who makes you holy.

² Jesus said, “This is how you should pray:^[a]

²¹ “Do not permit any of your children to be offered as a sacrifice to Molech, for you must not bring shame on the name of your God. I am the Lord.

⁹ Pray like this:

² “Tell Aaron and his sons to be very careful with the sacred gifts that the Israelites set apart for me, so they do not bring shame on my holy name. I am the Lord.

³ Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord meant when he said,

And Aaron was silent.

² I am writing to God’s church in Corinth,^[a] to you who have been called by God to be his own holy people. He made you holy by means of Christ Jesus,^[b] just as he did for all people everywhere who call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, their Lord and ours.

¹⁷ Make them holy by your truth; teach them your word, which is truth.

¹⁵ so that he will not dishonor his descendants among his clan, for I am the Lord who makes him holy.”
