^27 (A)“When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall be seven days with its mother; and from the eighth day and thereafter it shall be accepted as an offering made by fire to the Lord.

^30 (A)Likewise you shall do with your oxen and your sheep. It shall be with its mother ^(B)seven days; on the eighth day you shall give it to Me.

²⁵ Nor ^(A)from a foreigner’s hand shall you offer any of these as ^(B)the bread of your God, because their ^(C)corruption is in them, and defects are in them. They shall not be accepted on your behalf.’ ”

²³ ‘When you come into the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as ^[a]uncircumcised. Three years it shall be as uncircumcised to you. It shall not be eaten. ²⁴ But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, a praise to the Lord.

² “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘If a ^(A)woman has conceived, and borne a male child, then ^(B)she shall be ^[a]unclean seven days; ^(C)as in the days of her customary impurity she shall be unclean. ³ And on the ^(D)eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
