²⁴ But I said to you, “You will possess their land; I will give it to you as an inheritance, a land flowing with milk and honey.”^(A) I am the Lord your God, who has set you apart from the nations.^(B)

² for you are a people holy^(A) to the Lord your God.^(B) Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, the Lord has chosen you to be his treasured possession.^(C)

⁶ For you are a people holy^(A) to the Lord your God.^(B) The Lord your God has chosen^(C) you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his people, his treasured possession.^(D)

⁸ And I will bring you to the land^(A) I swore^(B) with uplifted hand^(C) to give to Abraham, to Isaac and to Jacob.^(D) I will give it to you as a possession. I am the Lord.’”^(E)

¹⁷ And I have promised to bring you up out of your misery in Egypt^(A) into the land of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites—a land flowing with milk and honey.’^(B)

⁸ So I have come down^(A) to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land,^(B) a land flowing with milk and honey^(C)—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites^(D) and Jebusites.^(E)

²⁶ You are to be holy to me^(A) because I, the Lord, am holy,^(B) and I have set you apart from the nations^(C) to be my own.

¹⁶ How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us?^(A) What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”^(B)

⁹ But you are a chosen people,^(A) a royal priesthood,^(B) a holy nation,^(C) God’s special possession,^(D) that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.^(E)
