¹⁴ “‘If a man marries both a woman and her mother,^(A) it is wicked. Both he and they must be burned in the fire,^(B) so that no wickedness will be among you.^(C)

¹⁷ “‘Do not have sexual relations with both a woman and her daughter.^(A) Do not have sexual relations with either her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter; they are her close relatives. That is wickedness.

¹⁵ Whoever is caught with the devoted things^(A) shall be destroyed by fire,^(B) along with all that belongs to him.^(C) He has violated the covenant^(D) of the Lord and has done an outrageous thing in Israel!’”^(E)

²⁵ Joshua said, “Why have you brought this trouble^(A) on us? The Lord will bring trouble on you today.”

Then all Israel stoned him,^(B) and after they had stoned the rest, they burned them.^(C)
