³⁷ And ^(A)you shall observe all my statutes and all my rules, and do them: I am the Lord.”

Remember the Lord Your God

8 “The whole commandment that I command you today ^(A)you shall be careful to do, that you may live and multiply, and go in and possess the land that the Lord swore to give to your fathers.

^4 (A)You shall follow my rules^[a] and keep my statutes and walk in them. ^(B)I am the Lord your God. ^5 (C)You shall therefore keep my statutes and my rules; ^(D)if a person does them, he shall live by them: I am the Lord.

²² and ^(A)whatever we ask we receive from him, because we keep his commandments and ^(B)do what pleases him. ²³ And this is his commandment, ^(C)that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and ^(D)love one another, ^(E)just as he has commanded us.

The Ten Commandments

5 And Moses summoned all Israel and said to them, “Hear, O Israel, the statutes and the rules that I speak in your hearing today, and you shall learn them and be careful to do them.

The Greatest Commandment

6 “Now this is ^(A)the commandment—the statutes and the rules^[a]—that the Lord your God commanded me to teach you, that you may do them in the land to which you are going over, to possess it, ² that ^(B)you may fear the Lord your God, you and your son and your son's son, by keeping all his statutes and his commandments, which I command you, all the days of your life, and ^(C)that your days may be long.

⁵ See, I have taught you statutes and rules, as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should do them in the land that you are entering to take possession of it. ^6 (A)Keep them and do them, for ^(B)that will be your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples, who, when they hear all these statutes, will say, ‘Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.’
