¹⁷ There shall be ^(A)no man in the tabernacle of meeting when he goes in to make atonement in the Holy Place, until he comes out, that he may make atonement for himself, for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel.

^10 (A)And the whole multitude of the people was praying outside at the hour of incense.

¹⁰ But the goat on which the lot fell to be the scapegoat shall be presented alive before the Lord, to make ^(A)atonement upon it, and to let it go as the scapegoat into the wilderness.

¹¹ “And Aaron shall bring the bull of the sin offering, which is for ^(B)himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall kill the bull as the sin offering which is for himself.

³ And no man shall ^(A)come up with you, and let no man be seen throughout all the mountain; let neither flocks nor herds feed before that mountain.”

Christ’s Suffering and Ours

¹⁸ For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring ^[a]us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,

^24 (A)who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, ^(B)that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—^(C)by whose ^[a]stripes you were healed.

⁷ But into the second part the high priest went alone ^(A)once a year, not without blood, which he offered for ^(B)himself and for the people’s sins committed in ignorance;

^3 (A)who being the brightness of His glory and the express ^(B)image of His person, and ^(C)upholding all things by the word of His power, ^(D)when He had ^[a]by Himself ^[b]purged ^[c]our sins, ^(E)sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
