⁵ Anyone who touches his bed must wash their clothes^(A) and bathe with water,^(B) and they will be unclean till evening.^(C)

²⁵ Whoever picks up one of their carcasses must wash their clothes,^(A) and they will be unclean till evening.^(B)

¹⁵ “‘Anyone, whether native-born or foreigner, who eats anything^(A) found dead or torn by wild animals^(B) must wash their clothes and bathe with water,^(C) and they will be ceremonially unclean till evening;^(D) then they will be clean.

²⁶ “The man who releases the goat as a scapegoat^(A) must wash his clothes^(B) and bathe himself with water;^(C) afterward he may come into the camp.

¹⁴ I answered, “Sir, you know.”

And he said, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes^(A) and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.^(B)

⁸ Come near to God and he will come near to you.^(A) Wash your hands,^(B) you sinners, and purify your hearts,^(C) you double-minded.^(D)

²² let us draw near to God^(A) with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings,^(B) having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience^(C) and having our bodies washed with pure water.^(D)

²⁶ Otherwise Christ would have had to suffer many times since the creation of the world.^(A) But he has appeared^(B) once for all^(C) at the culmination of the ages to do away with sin by the sacrifice of himself.^(D)

¹⁴ How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit^(A) offered himself^(B) unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences^(C) from acts that lead to death,^[a](D) so that we may serve the living God!^(E)
