³¹ ‘Thus you shall ^(A)separate the children of Israel from their uncleanness, lest they die in their uncleanness when they ^(B)defile My tabernacle that is among them.

²⁰ ‘But the man who is unclean and does not purify himself, that person shall be cut off from among the assembly, because he has ^(A)defiled the sanctuary of the Lord. The water of purification has not been sprinkled on him; he is unclean.

¹¹ ‘Therefore, as I live,’ says the Lord God, ‘surely, because you have ^(A)defiled My sanctuary with all your ^(B)detestable things and with all your abominations, therefore I will also diminish you; ^(C)My eye will not spare, nor will I have any pity.

¹³ Whoever touches the body of anyone who has died, and ^(A)does not purify himself, ^(B)defiles the tabernacle of the Lord. That person shall be cut off from Israel. He shall be unclean, because ^(C)the water of purification was not sprinkled on him; ^(D)his uncleanness is still on him.

³⁸ Moreover they have done this to Me: They have ^(A)defiled My sanctuary on the same day and ^(B)profaned My Sabbaths.

³ You shall put out both male and female; you shall put them outside the camp, that they may not defile their camps ^(A)in the midst of which I dwell.”

⁴ For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord ^[a]God and our Lord Jesus Christ.

^14 (A)Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, ^(B)without which no one will see the Lord: ¹⁵ looking carefully lest anyone ^(C)fall short of the grace of God; lest any ^(D)root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled;

^29 (A)Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, ^(B)counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, ^(C)and insulted the Spirit of grace?

¹⁷ If anyone ^[a]defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.
