⁴⁶ All who enter the house while it is shut up shall be unclean until the evening,

²¹ “It shall be a perpetual statute for them. The one who sprinkles the water for cleansing shall wash his clothes, and whoever touches the water for cleansing shall be unclean until evening. ²² Whatever the unclean person touches shall be unclean, and anyone who touches it shall be unclean until evening.”^(A)

⁷ Then the priest shall wash his clothes and bathe his body in water, and afterward he may come into the camp, but the priest shall remain unclean until evening.^{(A) 8} The one who burns the heifer^[a] shall wash his clothes in water and bathe his body in water; he shall remain unclean until evening. ⁹ Then someone who is clean shall gather up the ashes of the heifer and deposit them outside the camp in a clean place, and they shall be kept for the congregation of the Israelites for the water for cleansing. It is a purification offering.^{(B) 10} The one who gathers the ashes of the heifer shall wash his clothes and be unclean until evening.

“This shall be a perpetual statute for the Israelites and for the alien residing among them.

⁶ the person who touches any such shall be unclean until evening and shall not eat of the sacred donations unless he has washed his body in water.

¹⁵ All persons, native-born or alien, who eat what dies of itself or what has been torn by wild animals shall wash their clothes and bathe themselves in water and be unclean until the evening; then they shall be clean.^(A)

¹⁰ All who touch anything that was under him shall be unclean until the evening, and all who carry such a thing shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening.^(A)

⁵ Anyone who touches his bed shall wash his clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening. ⁶ All who sit on anything on which the one with the discharge has sat shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening. ⁷ All who touch the body of the one with the discharge shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening.^{(A) 8} If the one with the discharge spits on persons who are clean, then they shall wash their clothes and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening.

²⁸ and the one who carries the carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening; they are unclean for you.

Unclean Animals

²⁴ “By these you shall become unclean; whoever touches the carcass of any of them shall be unclean until the evening, ²⁵ and whoever carries any part of the carcass of any of them shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.^(A)
