³⁶ The priest shall command that they empty the house before the priest goes to examine the disease, or all that is in the house will become unclean, and afterward the priest shall go in to inspect the house.

⁴ Then I heard another voice from heaven saying,

¹⁵ See to it that no one fails to obtain the grace of God, that no root of bitterness springs up and causes trouble and through it many become defiled.^(A)

¹⁷ and their talk will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus and Philetus,^{(A) 18} who have swerved from the truth, saying resurrection^[a] has already occurred. They are upsetting the faith of some.^(B)
