³⁶ The priest is to order the house to be emptied before he goes in to examine the mold, so that nothing in the house will be pronounced unclean. After this the priest is to go in and inspect the house.

Warning to Escape Babylon’s Judgment

⁴ Then I heard another voice from heaven say:

¹⁵ See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God^(A) and that no bitter root^(B) grows up to cause trouble and defile many.

¹⁷ Their teaching will spread like gangrene. Among them are Hymenaeus^(A) and Philetus, ¹⁸ who have departed from the truth. They say that the resurrection has already taken place,^(B) and they destroy the faith of some.^(C)
