³⁵ the owner of the house shall come and tell the priest, saying, ‘There seems to me to be some sort of disease in my house.’^(A)

⁴ I have sent it out, says the Lord of hosts, and it shall enter the house of the thief and the house of anyone who swears falsely by my name, and it shall abide in that house and consume it, both timber and stones.”^(A)

²⁶ Do not bring an abhorrent thing into your house, or you will be set apart for destruction like it. You must utterly detest and abhor it, for it is set apart for destruction.

³⁴ This matter became sin to the house of Jeroboam, so as to cut it off and to destroy it from the face of the earth.^(A)
