The Test of Knowing Christ

2 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, ^(A)we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. ² And ^(B)He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but ^(C)also for the whole world.

The Certainty of God’s Witness

⁶ This is He who came ^(A)by water and blood—Jesus Christ; not only by water, but by water and blood. ^(B)And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.

¹⁹ And ^(A)for their sakes I sanctify Myself, that they also may be sanctified by the truth.

²⁰ And the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the grain offering on the altar. So the priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be ^(A)clean.

¹⁵ The ^(A)rich shall not give more and the poor shall not give less than half a shekel, when you give an offering to the Lord, to make atonement for yourselves. ¹⁶ And you shall take the atonement money of the children of Israel, and ^(B)shall ^[a]appoint it for the service of the tabernacle of meeting, that it may be ^(C)a memorial for the children of Israel before the Lord, to make atonement for yourselves.”
