¹⁹ “Then the priest is to sacrifice the sin offering and make atonement for the one to be cleansed from their uncleanness.^(A) After that, the priest shall slaughter the burnt offering

¹² “Then the priest is to take one of the male lambs and offer it as a guilt offering,^(A) along with the log of oil; he shall wave them before the Lord as a wave offering.^(B)

²¹ God made him who had no sin^(A) to be sin^[a] for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.^(B)

³ For what the law was powerless^(A) to do because it was weakened by the flesh,^[a](B) God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh^(C) to be a sin offering.^[b](D) And so he condemned sin in the flesh,

⁶ “‘When the days of her purification for a son or daughter are over,^(A) she is to bring to the priest at the entrance to the tent of meeting a year-old lamb^(B) for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or a dove for a sin offering.^{[a](C) 7} He shall offer them before the Lord to make atonement for her, and then she will be ceremonially clean from her flow of blood.

“‘These are the regulations for the woman who gives birth to a boy or a girl. ⁸ But if she cannot afford a lamb, she is to bring two doves or two young pigeons,^(D) one for a burnt offering and the other for a sin offering.^(E) In this way the priest will make atonement for her, and she will be clean.^(F)’”

⁶ As a penalty for the sin they have committed, they must bring to the Lord a female lamb or goat^(A) from the flock as a sin offering^[a];^(B) and the priest shall make atonement^(C) for them for their sin.

5 “‘If anyone sins because they do not speak up when they hear a public charge to testify^(A) regarding something they have seen or learned about, they will be held responsible.^(B)
