¹⁷ The priest is to put some of the oil remaining in his palm on the lobe of the right ear of the one to be cleansed, on the thumb of their right hand and on the big toe of their right foot, on top of the blood of the guilt offering.^(A)

² who have been chosen according to the foreknowledge^(A) of God the Father, through the sanctifying work of the Spirit,^(B) to be obedient^(C) to Jesus Christ and sprinkled with his blood:^(D)

Grace and peace be yours in abundance.^(E)

³ At one time^(A) we too were foolish, disobedient, deceived and enslaved by all kinds of passions and pleasures. We lived in malice and envy, being hated and hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness^(B) and love of God our Savior^(C) appeared,^{(D) 5} he saved us,^(E) not because of righteous things we had done,^(F) but because of his mercy.^(G) He saved us through the washing^(H) of rebirth and renewal^(I) by the Holy Spirit, ⁶ whom he poured out on us^(J) generously through Jesus Christ our Savior,

¹⁶ Out of his fullness^(A) we have all received grace^(B) in place of grace already given.

²⁷ And I will put my Spirit^(A) in you and move you to follow my decrees^(B) and be careful to keep my laws.^(C)

³⁰ Then Moses^(A) took some of the anointing oil and some of the blood from the altar and sprinkled them on Aaron and his garments^(B) and on his sons and their garments. So he consecrated^(C) Aaron and his garments and his sons and their garments.

²⁰ Slaughter it, take some of its blood and put it on the lobes of the right ears of Aaron and his sons, on the thumbs of their right hands, and on the big toes of their right feet.^(A) Then splash blood against the sides of the altar.^{(B) 21} And take some blood^(C) from the altar and some of the anointing oil^(D) and sprinkle it on Aaron and his garments and on his sons and their garments. Then he and his sons and their garments will be consecrated.^(E)
