⁴⁰ “If anyone loses the hair from his head, he is bald, but he is clean.^(A)

¹³ You know that it was because of a physical infirmity that I first announced the gospel to you;

¹⁰ But if Christ is in you, then the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit^[a] is life because of righteousness.

¹⁹ I am speaking in human terms because of your limitations.^[a] For just as you once presented your members as slaves to impurity and lawlessness, leading to even more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves to righteousness, leading to sanctification.^(A)

¹² Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal bodies, so that you obey their desires.^(A)

²³ He went up from there to Bethel, and while he was going up on the way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him, saying, “Go away, baldhead! Go away, baldhead!”

⁴¹ If he loses the hair from his forehead and temples, he has baldness of the forehead, but he is clean.
