⁴ But if the spot is white in the skin of his body and appears no deeper than the skin and the hair in it has not turned white, the priest shall confine the diseased person for seven days.^(A)

¹⁵ So Miriam was shut out of the camp for seven days, and the people did not set out on the march until Miriam had been brought in again.

²⁴ The sins of some people are conspicuous and precede them to judgment, while the sins of others follow them there.

⁵ Therefore do not pronounce judgment before the time, before the Lord comes, who will bring to light the things now hidden in darkness and will disclose the purposes of the heart. Then each one will receive commendation from God.^(A)

¹⁰ But the Levites who went far from me, going astray from me after their idols when Israel went astray, shall bear their punishment.^(A)

¹⁴ then you shall inquire and make a thorough investigation. If the charge is established that such an abhorrent thing has been done among you,
