¹⁸ “When someone has a boil^(A) on their skin and it heals,

⁹ It will become fine dust over the whole land of Egypt, and festering boils^(A) will break out on people and animals throughout the land.”

²¹ Isaiah had said, “Prepare a poultice of figs and apply it to the boil, and he will recover.”

⁷ So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord and afflicted Job with painful sores from the soles of his feet to the crown of his head.^(A)

⁷ Then Isaiah said, “Prepare a poultice of figs.” They did so and applied it to the boil,^(A) and he recovered.

²⁶ He said, “If you listen carefully to the Lord your God and do what is right in his eyes, if you pay attention to his commands and keep^(A) all his decrees,^(B) I will not bring on you any of the diseases^(C) I brought on the Egyptians, for I am the Lord, who heals^(D) you.”
