⁴⁴ For I am the Lord your God; sanctify yourselves, therefore, and be holy, for I am holy. You shall not defile yourselves with any swarming creature that moves on the earth.^(A)

² “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery;^(A)

² “Speak to all the congregation of the Israelites and say to them: You shall be holy, for I the Lord your God am holy.^(A)

¹⁵ Instead, as he who called you is holy, be holy yourselves in all your conduct,^{(A) 16} for it is written, “You shall be holy, for I am holy.”^(B)

⁷ Consecrate yourselves, therefore, and be holy, for I am the Lord your God.^(A)

⁷ For God did not call us to impurity but in holiness.

²⁶ You shall be holy to me, for I the Lord am holy, and I have separated you from the other peoples to be mine.^(A)

⁹ But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people,^[a] in order that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.^(A)

⁸ and you shall treat them as holy, since they offer the food of your God; they shall be holy to you, for I the Lord, I who sanctify you, am holy.

² For you are a people holy to the Lord your God; it is you the Lord has chosen out of all the peoples on earth to be his people, his treasured possession.^(A)
