¹⁹ And Aaron said to Moses, “Behold, ^(A)today they have offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before the Lord, and yet such things as these have happened to me! If I had eaten the sin offering today, ^(B)would the Lord have approved?”

¹² Then he killed the burnt offering, and Aaron's sons handed him the blood, and he ^(A)threw it against the sides of the altar.

⁸ So Aaron drew near to the altar and killed the calf of the sin offering, which was for himself.

¹³ And this second thing you do. ^(A)You cover the Lord's altar with tears, with weeping and groaning because he no longer regards the offering or accepts it with favor from your hand.

¹³ But you say, ^(A)‘What a weariness this is,’ and you snort at it, says the Lord of hosts. ^(B)You bring what has been taken by violence or is lame or sick, and this you bring as your offering! Shall I accept that from your hand? says the Lord.

^10 (A)Oh that there were one among you who would shut the doors, that you might not kindle fire on my altar in vain! I have no pleasure in you, says the Lord of hosts, ^(B)and I will not accept an offering from your hand.

¹² Though they fast, I will not hear their cry, ^(A)and though they offer burnt offering and grain offering, I will not accept them. But I will consume them ^(B)by the sword, by famine, and by pestilence.”
