^4 (A)He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be ^(B)accepted for him ^(C)to make atonement for him.

²³ Then the goats for the sin offering were brought to the king and the assembly, ^(A)and they laid their hands on them, ²⁴ and the priests slaughtered them and made a sin offering with their blood on the altar, ^(B)to make atonement for all Israel. For the king commanded that the burnt offering and the sin offering should be made for all Israel.

²⁶ And all its fat he shall burn on the altar, like ^(A)the fat of the sacrifice of peace offerings. So ^(B)the priest shall make atonement for him for his sin, and he shall be forgiven.

²⁰ Thus shall he do with the bull. As he did ^(A)with the bull of the sin offering, so shall he do with this. ^(B)And the priest shall make atonement for them, and they shall be forgiven.

⁸ lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it in front of the tent of meeting; and Aaron's sons shall throw its blood against the sides of the altar.

² And ^(A)he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering and kill it at the entrance of the tent of meeting, and Aaron's sons the priests shall throw the blood against the sides of the altar.

¹⁵ “Then ^(A)you shall take one of the rams, and ^(B)Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the ram,

¹⁰ “Then you shall bring the bull before the tent of meeting. ^(A)Aaron and his sons shall lay their hands on the head of the bull.

^2 (A)He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but ^(B)also for the sins of the whole world.

A Living Sacrifice

12 ^(A)I appeal to you therefore, brothers,^[a] by the mercies of God, ^(B)to present your bodies ^(C)as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.^[b]
