³ “If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer ^(A)a male without blemish. He shall bring it to the entrance of the tent of meeting, that he may be accepted before the Lord.

^21 (A)But if it has any blemish, if it is lame or blind or has any serious blemish whatever, you shall not sacrifice it to the Lord your God.

¹⁹ if it is to be accepted for you it shall be a ^(A)male without blemish, of the bulls or the sheep or the goats. ^20 (B)You shall not offer anything that has a blemish, for it will not be acceptable for you. ²¹ And when anyone ^(C)offers a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord ^(D)to fulfill a vow or as a freewill offering from the herd or from the flock, to be accepted it must be perfect; there shall be no blemish in it. ²² Animals ^(E)blind or disabled or mutilated or having a discharge or ^(F)an itch or scabs you shall not offer to the Lord or give them to the Lord as a food ^(G)offering on the altar. ²³ You may present a bull or a lamb that has a part ^(H)too long or too short for a freewill offering, but for a vow offering it cannot be accepted. ²⁴ Any animal that has its testicles bruised or crushed or torn or cut you shall not offer to the Lord; you shall not do it within your land,

¹⁴ how much more will ^(A)the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit ^(B)offered himself without blemish to God, ^(C)purify our^[a] conscience ^(D)from dead works ^(E)to serve the living God.

⁵ Your lamb shall be ^(A)without blemish, a male a year old. You may take it from the sheep or from the goats,

²⁷ so ^(A)that he might present the church to himself in splendor, ^(B)without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish.^[a]

⁸ When he said above, “You have neither desired nor taken pleasure in ^(A)sacrifices and offerings and burnt offerings and sin offerings” (these are offered according to the law), ⁹ then he added, ^(B)“Behold, I have come to do your will.” He does away with the first in order to establish the second. ¹⁰ And by that will ^(C)we have been sanctified through the offering of ^(D)the body of Jesus Christ ^(E)once for all.

17 ^(A)“You shall not sacrifice to the Lord your God an ox or a sheep in which is a blemish, any defect whatever, for that is an abomination to the Lord your God.

²⁶ For it was indeed fitting that we should have such a high priest, ^(A)holy, innocent, unstained, ^(B)separated from sinners, and ^(C)exalted above the heavens.
