³ “This is how Aaron is to enter the Most Holy Place:^(A) He must first bring a young bull^(B) for a sin offering^[a] and a ram for a burnt offering.^(C)

³ “‘If the anointed priest^(A) sins,^(B) bringing guilt on the people, he must bring to the Lord a young bull^(C) without defect^(D) as a sin offering^[a](E) for the sin he has committed.^(F)

²⁴ For Christ did not enter a sanctuary made with human hands that was only a copy of the true one;^(A) he entered heaven itself,^(B) now to appear for us in God’s presence.^{(C) 25} Nor did he enter heaven to offer himself again and again, the way the high priest enters the Most Holy Place^(D) every year with blood that is not his own.^(E)

⁷ But only the high priest entered^(A) the inner room,^(B) and that only once a year,^(C) and never without blood,^(D) which he offered for himself^(E) and for the sins the people had committed in ignorance.^(F)

¹⁸ He then presented the ram^(A) for the burnt offering, and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on its head.
